Sony should really relent here, not a good move at all.

They made almost $300m in March alone JUST on the Battle Royale mode, which is just crazy. I imagine the Switch release will see that jumped massively as well.

What exactly do you do in this game? I had a quick go on the switch and all I see is people running around randomly and building stuff.

99.99% of people play ‘just the battle Royale Mode’

Survive - however you can.

In one of my Switch games, I was too busy looting to notice that the storm had started coming in. It quickly overtook me, and I thought I'd be able to use a health pack or two and make it. I used all eleven I had in my inventory and still didn't make it.

 You sound like me.

I had another go last night and just don't really see what makes this game so popular. I guess people playing with friends? But as a solo with random people it seemed rather dull to me. I saw one other person in a match. I'll have to see if other people here go in as a group.

Yeah these games are much better in duo's/Squad.

I much prefer playing it on Switch, mainly cause the folks playing on Switch are a pushover. I'm mostly end up in the top 10 players.

I can't get used to this on Switch, I've not played it much on PC but the controls don't seem as responsive and so I'm finding it very hard to aim!

That catchy trailer from the Direct is all over Youtube adverts. The only other gaming related one I've seen is Super Mario Party once.

30fps ceiling. Drops to the 20's.

All the major geometry is there. Feels like the entire package. Looks surprisingly good despite the drawbacks.

Docked mode: 900p with dynamic resolution (goes as low as 729p).

Portable: 720p with dynamic resolution (goes as low as 360p (rare)).

Draw distance cut back with lots of grass pop-in.

Poor texture filtering makes it look blurry.

Some noticeable network lag over wifi.

Oh strawberry float

They are going to make all of the money. Just wait for the headline at the end of July saying they made 100mil of this skin alone.

Gouging the living daylights out of their player-base.

Can people on the Switch play against other platforms? If so, draw distance is going to be a big disadvantage.

Yes?

Pretty sure draw distance is about geometry and buildings, typically players are shown miles away.
