Of course he wants it

It's great for us but to play devils advocate, what does it mean from a business perspective? Why should Sony do it?
I'd be saying the same if Microsoft were market leader.

From a purely technical standpoint do both consoles have the same amount of input lag for the controller?
Does that even make any sense :shifty: .

Don’t understand why it makes any difference to Sony, not like Xbox is going to catch up...

The Developers want to do it also.

Apparently was a record breaking stream for viewers. I can't say it warms me to the game.

I have yet to play PUBG but this is the new addiction. I know you're not a fan of the building mechanic but once you get your head around it really changes the game. As someone who hated the thought of Minecraft esq building game with guns, this has blown me away in how good it is. The shooting mechanics need tightening which is funny since they had a test recently that vastly improved it but has yet to materialise.

Don't get me wrong now, I don't hate the game at all, it's a good game, I've played it a ton and will still keep playing it but when I have a spare half hour and fancy some Battle Royal I play PUBG, 2 of my mates won't touch Fortnite but one of them prefers it to PUBG so I play duo's with him and generally PUBG on my own or with all 4 of us.

For an older dude like my the slower pace (certainly at start) of PUBG just suits but I will play it tonight more than likely to check out the update. I do hate the outfits and dances people buy though, I mean you can get stuff in PUBG but it's nowhere as near pronounced, having a douche in a pink bear costume kill you then do a dab is highly annoying and puts me right off.

I just came to say that every YouTuber and his/ her uncle seem to be playing this. I don't know if it's because people are genuinely loving this or if it's because of the hype and it's the game of the moment.

With reference to Minecraft, I read a quote which I think was from Phil Spencer which said that Sony have a bigger install base and they don't want the competition to have access to them.

Why don't they just say that then instead of talking bollocks:

Sony’s excuse for blocking PlayStation and Xbox cross-platform play last year blamed “exposing what in many cases are children to external influences we have no ability to manage or look after.

https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/12/17111546/microsoft-sony-fortnite-cross-play-ps4-xbox-one

It just seems childish to me, it doesn't make any difference to finding games on either platform, it'd be great to be able to play with a grcade crew no matter what the format. I'm sure when PUBG releases on PS4 MS and PUBG Corp will say they can do cross play and Sony will refuse again.

Had a quick go on this and while fun, I can't fully get into it, probably because of all the time I've invested in PUBG. Was playing with my nephew who was regularly getting at least 10 kills a match and taking out entire squads on his own.

He's 10. :|

I think the thing is that it takes a long time to really get the hang of it, and 10 year olds obviously have a lot more time to play and master it than adults with adult things like jobs and gooseberry fool to do.

Also mobile cross play is dumb, can't imagine how arse the controls are on a touchscreen. Does raise the question of a Switch port though, if it can run on a tablet it can run on the Switch surely.

I just can't see it being fun for mobile players to face console or pc players who will obviously be just miles quicker than them and with massively better aim.
