Been trying this but not sure it's for me. It's hard to get better at when I always seem to either a) drop into a completely unpopulated area and not actually meet anyone till the endgame, at which point I get merked by all the good people or b) drop in with other people and immediately get shotgunned to death by someone who landed before me. I've had a few good games and I'm willing to give it a bit longer, but not sure whether it'll convince me to stay in the long term.

I've fallen off playing this now, I think combat has evolved too much now into all being about building - which I don't particularly enjoy. The end game especially seems to have more building in it than shooting

I play both this and PUBG regularly but prefer PUBG for the same reasons. I like getting into building or behind a wall or tree and know you're in cover and it can't be destroyed with bullets.

Try the new mini gun. It shreds structures

I like destructible cover, the problem with fortnite is that its skewed too much in favour of building cover rather than destroying it.

Not played since it has been added, but its not like you'll have the minigun for the majority of games. If I'm playing and start getting shot at, the best thing to do is to immediately throw up some walls. I don't like that.

I can attest to this. Destroyed a house the other Duo was hiding in to get the win! (I knocked one and mate shot other)

I presume Xbox One and PS4 get 720p at 60fps, PS4 Pro plays at 1080p 30fps so that'll jump down to 900p and I hope X1X will hit 1080p 60fps.

I don't think there's a single PS4 game that runs at 720p.

And I'd really expect more from these Pro/X machines, regardless of framerate.

Kind of a silly thing to say really. If you want Full 4k and 60FPS on all games isn't possible on console, only the most basic of titles will achieve this.

AFAIK Fortnite runs at full 4K at 30fps on X1X.

It's great with a group of friends and I have no problem with the graphics.
The art style doesn't require photo realism so massively high resolution isn't needed and I can't say I've ever noticed the framerate so it must be doing something right.

I seem to be getting better at this, came 7th in solo yesterday. Think I much prefer solo to squads because there's less chance of getting ganged up on.
Did have a weird incident yesterday where I was in Tilted Towers trying to sneak around and get someone, then they dropped right on top of me and instakilled me from full health and shield. Wasn't sure if it was just from being point blank or if there were some shenanigans going on, watched them till the end and they seemed to kill everyone in one shot.

Also yeah, the little kids are annoying as strawberry float, part of the reason I stopped playing squads.

Shotgun headshots can insta-kill regardless of health/armour and it is frustrating as
