Went with names thematic to this website 8-)

On Wednesday I'll change the thread title, and from that point on you'll all be let into Arcadia to choose any of the settlements.

Might let other forumites bunk in with the land owner, they could be a minor character in the grand scheme of things.

Also if you don't like reading this won't be for you. I generally try to keep the reading snappy and to a minimum though.

Do you need to be here often to play? Seeing as I'm no longer a jobless bum I can only be here in the evenings.

It won't be something you'll need to take part in every night, just when you are involved in some kind of story or quest you'll simply be required to make a choice on what you want to do. There shall be other things to do however.

How's time difference going to affect proceedings? 9pm is about 5am for us.

Will that screw things over a bit if we need to be on at certain times? I know smurphy asked a similar question though...

There isn't gonna be any form of strict time keeping. This is the structure of how it will begin:

- Choose your house.
- (same day) introductory challenge / event
- The next day, your story begins.
- Every day or other day I'll post a bulletin update, saying some of the events that have happened and players who have finished their little quest can post their own quests, for example, if they are suspicious that another player is upto no good, you can send yourself on a quest to conquer them and hire other forumites to help you out. That will be a side questline. Going on these quests could very well get you killed, but it would be boring if you don't try to take part in any.
- Your game ends when you are killed, or if you survive to the end which probably won't be more than a couple weeks.

Every day you are inactive will count as a day off, the quest will just continue when you post/ PM again unless you are in a quest that involves more than one forumite,

Hulo, I'm not going to be in at 9 as a friend of mine who lives down south has come up and wants to meet up with a few of us. Any chance I can pre-emptively put my name in for Unknown?

I'm going to allow this for taking part in one of the Adventure Quests, however, you can have the last piece of land to be picked.

11 slots going at 9.

Introduction:

Port Saram, 20 days ago:

Nathaniel strolled towards the dockyard with his heavily armoured bodyguards in tow. Gathering by the waters edge was a group of sailors and dock officials arguing. Upon sighting Nathaniel, one of the men pointed out to sea towards a lone vessel slowly drifting towards the docks.

"The ship is moving sir, slowly." One of the dock rats stammered. Nathaniel ignored him. "Get the boat. Now."

The calm waters made for easy sailing and within twenty minutes the dock rat was clambering up the side of the mysterious ship to lower a rope for the rest of the crew.

The fable of Arcadia has been told for nearly a thousand years in the civilised world yet there has never been any proof this contintent ever existed.

Nathaniel ducked into the slave quarters of the seemingly abandoned ship. "How the hell did the ship make it to Saram unmanned, the seas beyond our port are fierce."

The fable of Arcadia speaks of a fierce demon guarding the surrounding waters, a sunken city of gold and ancient gods of wisdom that haunt the entire continent. Surely such magic cannot exist in this mundane world?

Alone in the darkness, Nathaniel held his lantern high. Just a bit further down he could see a man leaning against a beam. With great caution Nathaniel approached the shirtless scrawny man.

"Great powers and riches await those who venture to Arcadia" the fable says. It is because of this power that the kingdom has suffered greatly.

The man sat grinning comically, looking up at the wooden rafters. His neck slit from ear to ear. Nathaniel did not flinch, instead he crouched by the man and gazed at the map cut into the mans chest, the knife resting in the mans open palm.

9 days later, Nathaniel and 12 strangers set sail for this new world.

Above: The coast of Arcadia (Condemned Rocks) as the ship circles Offtopica.

The ship anchors just off the coast of a rocky beach. The water is shallow allowing the men to proceed on foot and by rowboat that are carrying provisions.

Congratulations, you have discovered Arcadia.

But who are these 12 strangers?

First 11 people to claim one of the following pieces of land are in the game. Details of these bits of land are in the first post

1- Eyre Skye Castle Roonmastor
2- Dusty Spires
3- Mountain Peak Hut Smurphy
4- Condemned Rocks The Master
5- The Mortuary PsychicSykes
6- Unknown StayDead
