There's nothing to think through.

If the game's coming out this year and it's been in development for 2 years then the concept art is probably over 2 years old, like you said, making it old.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

I think it was in reply to me and thinking the UK rumours are false.

Oh god imagine if they had created these concept images and then threw them in the bin for a UK themed game :fp:

Are you saying Hong Kong is more interesting than the ultimate awesomeness that is downtown Milton Keynes?

Actually, if you look at the cars, they are fairly out of date. Old Ferrari, last gen Mustang, Mazda Furai, previous gen GTR.

False gets it.

Nick, I’m not talking 2 years here, it goes much further back.

Just started up Forza 5 this weekend, is there any way to turn off drivatars? they just ram constantly and drive right through you :dread: I tried disconnecting the internet connection but because it isn't my home console the game doesn't work

Is there a setting to lower thier aggression and difficulty?

Yes but forza 5 has this quirk where it sticks 5/6 people in off your friends list regardless of how good they are, and keeps them at their default difficulty despite what you have set your game at.

Yes you can adjust the difficulty but I'm not sure what that really affects from playing around with it, it just seems to change the speed they can rubberband you. I was hoping to be able to race some AI of some sort, doesn't look like the game has that option though? and not many tracks so perhaps this was a "lite" version like those Gran Turismo in between releases?

I guess it's quite an old game so I'll probably just strawberry float about with it for a bit more before moving on to something else. It looks quite nice for such an old game, although the sun glare is a bit OTT 8-)

Forza 5 was rushed to hit the xbone launch which is why its a bit light on content and ends up repeating a lot. I couldn't bring myself to finish every cup because there are no consecutive points-based championships, only getting top 3 in a set of races and moving on. I remember at least in FM6 an option to limit the drivatar aggression though, but you can definitely skip 5 as 6 has all the content and more.

I’m actually getting in to this now :shifty: I think there’s about 5 tracks in the game but I’ve got them all down now pretty much

Also I’ve learned to deal with the agreessive attacks from fellow drivers. I’m hanging back until you get the 1 or 2 drivers that drive in a straight line through an apex across the road and they’ll normally wipe out 2-3 other drivers that are on the apex. That leaves a nice space for you to drive through and after that you’re in the top 7 drivers and it can be quite fun working you’re way up to the top place.

Had some weird bugs though. The last one being I got shunted so badly that it made an awful noise (I actually thought my speaker broke) and then the remainder of the race was silence until I got back to the menus

I really liked it, especially the driveatars yes getting shunted can be annoying but for me this was the closest they got to getting a lot of challenging driving varieties into the single player game. I appreciate why they changed it though I can imagine it was not for everyone.

I think the whole Drivatar thing is an excuse for very basic drivers. Zero AI and then whack someone from your friends list's name up above each car. There's no real challenge here at all as all the cars stick very religiously to the driving line (which is why there's so much shunting), they'll speed up or slow down to match whatever you're doing.

I've racked up nearly 7 hours apparently this weekend! I wonder how much longer until I feel burnt out

I found that with the ones not on my list, again it’s dependant on what driveatar your against but I tended to float between above average and pro with the friends inserted being a bit better than that. a guy I know in real life and a guy I used to play forza 3 and 4 with a lot were great to race against once we’d pull away from the pack, both only put clean over taking moves on you and I was particularly impressed by the way one of them great racer that he is had a tendancy to over shoot corners on rare occasions perfectly replicated.

I think it’s the synchronisation level, if you get a racer on about 40% the games worked out they like to shunt people but hasn’t got full visibility of their racing habits to often just keeps them to the racing line. Like I say I can see why they changed it. I played the game a lot and my driver is still only 75% synced. Nice idea but just doesn’t work in practice most of the time, I was quite lucky I think.
