I haven't gone back to the business/story stuff after getting 3 stars on each event as I find the unskippable intro blurb each time annoying after a few goes - surely if we've done it once already and are going back to improve we don't need to see them every time?

*Edit*Won a Lambo on the wheel spin so guessing I'm good to go for the remainder of the game

I don't think so. I now have 70 cars but (I just bought the Vulcan for 1.5M) I've done all the street races in my starting Ford Focus with just upgraded tires and breaks. The game seems to set the competition at a similar level to whatever you bring so it's pretty much up to whatever you enjoy driving and the skill level setting making it harder.

There are some races that require a specific car but again it won't just bung a Veyron in while you turned up in a Mini.

I am hating myself right now.
That Subaru Impreza Barn Find car has got some seriously good Mastery perks. With them added, it becomes a great machine for skill point collection. Great, I think. Let's push this thing to the limit and see how much we can get out of it. 50,000 skill points, pretty easy bar. 100,000 skill points, that's definitely something worth banking. 200,000 skill points, with the x5 multiplier that's A MILLION score for TWENTY skill points. That should have been worth banking. Nah, I think. Let's go higher.
A few seconds later I lose control and smash straight into a tree.

The skill point gain from a single chain is capped at 10, so if youre just going for skill points, bank for 500,000.

Also loading tunes from other players is a good idea if you want to shortcut upgrading/tuning yourself. Try to get 5 star rated ones for car class levels not too high above the cars normal class.

This is a good way to rack up skill points quickly and you can do a couple of runs every now and again when you're passing through rather than spending ages grinding them out.

Fable IV confirmed.

Also, can you run them over?

There's an unlockable chicken suit. If Fable IV isn't confirmed by that, it never will be.

Great little guide there. Had fun tearing around gathering skill points. It's credits I need now! Keep buying then tinkering with cars! I keep doing "will it drift?" challenges with myself but it rinses your bank account!

Online is stunning. Major miss tep making players play 4hrs before it unlocks. The online races are absolutely brilliant, those races where you just have to reach a point, wow, 12 cars tearing across fields mountains, farms, towns, cities, over frozen lakes (of its winter) etc. It’s distilled what racing with your friends and other real folk should mean and delivered a comprehensive and unsurpassed masterclass. It’s the best driving game I have ever played by a country mile. (Pun intended)

I downloaded the demo to my PC last night, and had a go this morning. It runs surprisingly well on my aging computer (i5 2500K , 3GB 280X, 8GB ram). So I signed up for the 14-day Game Pass trial, and am now downloading the full game.

So game pass works on pc too? Had a friend considering and wasn't sure if it did, good to know!

I downloaded the demo to see how well it worked on my outdated pc too (i5 2500k, 12gb ram, 2gb gtx770) and was pleasantly surprised. I am probably getting a new gpu for christmas so will just play it on pc from then on and may well get rid of my xbone as forza was the only exclusive i played on it.

It does work, but only a handful of games are available on PC.

Did my first Forzathon Live event last night. Boy howdy, that was a lot of fun!

Is it just me, or is three-starring these drift zones somehow harder in 4 than 3? I had trouble with a few in 3, but it seems the totals have been made harder overall. Of course, it could just be that the drift zone near Kingfisher House is one of those ridiculously hard ones.

Just whip the drone out and pinpoint the locations. That thing's a lot more manouevrable than a car and will help cover ground a lot faster. Sometimes though, the barns themselves just want to remain hidden. *Grumbles about a certain one and where it was eventually found*

Yeah, I used to love the barn finds, but they’re just stupidly hidden in nondescript woods now. No fun. Just random driving around.
