Well, it probably contains quite a lot of the world within those files, and even if not, if it's the same demo as E3 it has four times the assests to be able to swap between all four seasons for that first race.

I would guess it's pretty much just the full game and you can buy the full one once downloaded and remove any restrictions.

On the plus side it's downloading at 42Mb/s so shouldn't take too long.

I don't think that has ever been the case except for Horizon 2 maybe, certainly not since then. Otherwise they'd have the potential problem of people cracking the demo version somehow to peek at the full game.

Some odd stuff with ther demo but it could be a glitch with my settings. I have sound till I drive the cars in the intro of the game. It just cuts out, no sound when picking my first car either. Restart has not fixed it. I may have to redownload. :|

Is there any benefit to the main game for playing the demo? - keeping progress/credits/skills/cars/ achievements etc?

There is one thing and it's ground breaking. A T-shirt

I have fixed the sound issue. I just needed to go to Sound > Playback tab > Select your playback device > Properties > Enhancements and untick disable all enhancements then reboot my system.

Just had a go at it, enjoyed it quite a bit. Got chucked out and now its saying I haven't bought the demo or something weird, but what I managed to play was cool.

Even though the route creator won't be out for a while, rather than 'spoil' some of the events i did some scouting around for potential routes - you could definitely make a goodwood-like circuit in and around the festival site, as well as a technical rally course with some long fast sections before knotting around in the quarry. Hopefully the creator will add festival stuff around a created route rather than just smoke checkpoint markers but i imagine that would be tough to take the entire map into account.

Even with barely scraping the minimum requirements and playing in low settings, the world just looks ace. I can't wait to get to the full game come October on that One X. The events are fun, the driving is as great as ever, and just admiring all the detail in the world is a fantastic thing to do.
I also went into the settings and looked up the names you can have. There's a lot.

Also, a neat detail I noticed is that the pause screen shows the song and radio station in the top right corner of the home tab. But it goes one better by showing the album cover the song comes from. The Love Never Dies album by Chvrches got instant recognition by me.

Best of Bond Car Pack

We are thrilled to announce the Best of Bond Car Pack as the Day One Car Pack for Forza Horizon 4. The pack is included as part of the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition and will be playable with early access to the game, beginning on September 28. Players will also be able to purchase the Best of Bond Car Pack separately at the global launch of the game on October 2.

The Best of Bond Car Pack features 10 cars from the James Bond films, including Goldfinger (1964) and The Man With the Golden Gun (1974), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and more. The car list features modern classics like the BMW Z8 from The World Is Not Enough as well as a bevy of classic Aston Martin models, including the most-featured car in Bond film history – the Aston Martin DB5.

Here’s the full lineup of James Bond Edition cars inspired by the films in the Best of Bond Car Pack.

· 1964 Aston Martin DB5 inspired by Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), GoldenEye (1995), Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015)

· 1969 Aston Martin DBS from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)

· 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback from The Man With the Golden Gun (1974)

· 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

· 1981 Citroën 2CV6 from For Your Eyes Only (1981)

· 1986 Aston Martin V8 from The Living Daylights (1987)

· 1999 BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough (1999)

· 2008 Aston Martin DBS from Quantum of Solace (2008)

· 2010 Jaguar C-X75 from Spectre (2015)

· 2015 Aston Martin DB10 from Spectre (2015)

Several of the cars in the pack will feature film-inspired gadgets that players will be able to view while in Forzavista mode. For example, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 will feature numerous gadgets such as revolving number plate and extendable bumper rams. In addition, the Lotus Esprit S1 will feature a special body kit option inspired by the “Wet Nellie” submarine vehicle from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

In addition to the cars, players who own the James Bond Car Pack in Forza Horizon 4 will also receive some in-game Bond goodies, including two Bond outfits as well as six exclusive “Quick Chat” phrases for use in multiplayer.

Forza Horizon 4 on Mixer & Earning Influence

Starting with the launch of the Forza Horizon 4 demo today, players will begin to accrue “Influence” in Forza Horizon 4 when watching the demo being streamed. Influence represents a player’s progression in Forza Horizon 4 and is the core of the game’s “Horizon Life” campaign. No matter how you like to play the game, you’ll be earning Influence as you go – exploring racing, performing stunts, taking photographs, creating (liveries, tunes and Blueprints), and streaming (or viewing) on Mixer.

Once you have earned Influence for viewing a Forza Horizon 4 Mixer stream, you can claim it in the game using the same Xbox Gamertag you used to watch or stream on Mixer. (Note that players must unlock the “Mixer” thread in the Horizon Life campaign to take advantage of Mixer-earned Influence.) Players who stream Forza Horizon 4 on Mixer will earn Influence every two minutes, with a bonus applied for larger audiences.

Remember, you can start earning influence today by watching the Forza Horizon 4 demo and that earned Influence will unlock when you play the full version of Forza Horizon 4. For more information on how to earn influence through Mixer, check out the blog post at www.aka.ms/MixerInfluenceinForza.

That is a clever way to get people onto their streaming platform as an alternative to twitch. I'll certainly put it on and mute it in a different tab while doing other things.

Doesn't seem to tell you what you do with this new credit system once you've earned it. Trade it for more credits like Forza rewards? I already have more money than I know what to do with in Forza games

I don't think this saves your progress so I'll leave it and go in fresh on release day.

Looking at the music in the game it seems okay although it is heavily US bands, they had an opportunity to get bands from all over the place involved but hey ho. That said QOTSA, At the drive in and The Sugar Hill Gang make a show.

Since 2 i've always gravitated to the classical station - for some reason they're less irksome for me once they start repeating for the umpteenth time.

The October 2nd release date looms large for Forza Horizon 4 and the outlook right now is it's an improvement in every way. Between the four seasons and two playback options on Xbox One X, there are simply more ways to enjoy the world Playground has created - and of course, if you want to sample the game for yourself, a playable demo is available to download right now for both Xbox One and PC. I highly recommend that you check that one out.
