Yeah, the reboot sorted it. Weird though. Had one race before rebooting, and the car couldn’t keep up with the pack, and wouldn’t steer into turns properly.

Current Release Notes: October 10th, 2018

Cross-Platform
• General stability improvements
• Changed the Titan FE Rivals Event to a regular Titan with an Upgrade Preset so non-VIPs can play it.
• Fix for stall when connecting to a multiplayer session.
• Fix for traffic sometimes not respawning after exiting an event sign-up in Horizon Life or after completing a Horizon Story.
• Fix for Creative Hub data when accessed from Leaderboards.
• Fix for crash during the rewards flow after completing a Horizon Story.
• Fix for race position changing sometimes when crossing the line in co-op.

• Fix for #Forzathon Live cinematics disappearing after disconnection.
• Updated chase camera on the Mercedes Unimog to improve visibility.

• Minimum AMD graphics driver version updated to 18.9.3.
• Fix for GPU crash after displaying the boot logo videos.
• Improvements to video options auto-detection when running with a 4k monitor.
• Fix for some cars parts appearing semi-transparent on AMD GPUs.
• Fix for accelerator pedal not working on Thrustmaster T150 in some set-ups.

Xbox
• Fix for displaying the fallback car when reaching the Dirt race series with only the initial install chunk installed.

I can’t even get this working on mine. Had the “forza has taken too long” crash to desktop thing 4 times now even after power offs and restarts

Had a session after the update on XB1, no problems. My Team Adventure achievement popped up as soon as I started.

This does for me what Wipeout did for people 20 years ago. Bloody brilliant.

Yeah, I'm pretty confident now that I'm going to be putting hours into three starring these drift zones unless there's some legendary drifting machine available somewhere. There's a drift zone needing 125,000 points out there, and plenty needing 90,000. Adding to that, I'm still wildly inconsistent when it comes to doing these things.

I at least picked up the Forzathon highlight car in the shop. I really need to think about getting these weekly Forzathon challenges done sometime. Maybe in winter.

Can you see how you are doing vs other people in your club? I’m sure in the past you could look at league tables etc

As well as the rivals leaderboards, once you do any drift/speed/jump zone you can press X to see the leaderboard for that event, and then you can filter by global, near you, friends, club, friends and club times.

I thought it was weird that there was no traffic sometimes. I thought it was putting me in an online lobby automatically or something

still seems to be strawberry float all traffic in general though, maybe its because Im still in the hills

Good - last thing I want in my fantasy escapism is being stuck in traffic jams like IRL. At least they ghost out when you go into a speed/drift zone, that was annoying as hell in Horizon 3.

nice to have something to avoid though innit rather than just empty roads go straight to the next objective

the speed zone thing is a good fix though

I usually have zero traffic when the game for some unknown reason decides to start me offline.
I can just search for a Forza session and the traffic will magically appear along with other players as the traffic is handy for runs up and down the motorway for skill point chaining if you want to get quick points to put into a car.

I had about 400 car skill points and went through my cars getting "easy" wheel spins. made about 30 levels, 3m credits and maybe about 25 cars. But it took about 2hrs. Ive got about 175 cars in the garage and maybe only bought 3.

I've found an effective money-spinner thanks to another video - if you combine the airfield skill point farm with buying the '69 Nissan Fairlady Z (150,000cr) it has a 300,000 cr bonus unlock which costs 19 points to get to, with a 1 point wheelspin as a bonus. So going between the two seems a good way of getting cash and wheelspins quite quickly.

So the plan is to just buy loads of fairladys?

If you then sell them on the auction house, does it blank the skill tree?

No, it doesn't - it is very likely that any fairlady on the auction house has been unlocked and someone is selling them on for a quick buck. I was lucky and got a clean one but i wouldn't bet on any being 'safe'.

I do two runs at the airfield in my skills-boosting peugeot 205 forza edition to get 20 points, buy a fairlady and unlock the cash and wheelspin, then back to the airfield and go again, by which point all the stuff will have respawned to smash again.

I'm at 10 million in total after spending very little over the game, edinburgh castle is in my sights :datass:
