I keep hitting people head on, I see a car oming and I move right automatically.

Also a couple of detail thing that are bugging me, all the cars in cut scenes seem to be left hand drive despite you getting in on the right. Also tractors don't have queues of traffic behind them.

There's a mix of LH/RH drive cars. Drive in car view. It is weird getting used to driving on the right side of the road. The right as in left side.

I like how traffic ghosts when you're doing a speed camera or drift challenge. They were annoying as strawberry float on the previous 2 games :x it's about the only game improvement I have seen to far though.

I tried the demo on PC to see how my rig would handle it, and it seems that if i turn everything to its lowest setting (there is a guide on pcgamer about which settings make the game look better with no performance hit, might try some of those) and drop it to about 900p then through some eldritch magic it runs at 60fps, which is quite a difference from my experience on the OG xbone. It obviously looks a bit...basic, even compared to the base xbone version, but I'd rather take framerate over prettiness so I guess i'll set it downloading to my SSD overnight or something and see what happens, especially as I'll be able to do online stuff too as you don't need Gold on PC. I am pleasantly surprised because Forza 6 apex barely seemed to run well at 30fps so this is a big step forward in terms of optimisation.

Finally got through the "tutorial" last night! Joined the GRCade club this morning so looking forward to cruising the streets of the lake district with some peeps! I'm a big fan of tuning cars so I can usually be found tinkering with a car, especially for drifting but also enjoy setting cars up for rallying and street racing.

For some reason I haven't played Forza 7 despite being it free with my X but firing this up, holy gooseberry fool. This is why I got the X when we got the 4K TV.

I know I really should be playing in 60FPS but if 4K is wrong, I don't want to be right.

How broken online is starting to grate on me.

What a fun game otherwise.

PC and Xbox-exclusive Forza Horizon 4 didn't have too shabby a launch across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia in the latest GSD EMEAA charts. Of course, Playground's more laidback racing game was still outstripped by the launch of FIFA 19, which took the top spot in the region last week.

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/ ... eaa-charts

Combined physical/digital chart for the EMEAA region for the week ending September 30th:

1. FIFA 19
2. Spider-Man
3. Forza Horizon 4 (Ultimate Edition)
4. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
5. Grand Theft Auto V
6. Battlefield 1
7. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
8. Dragon Ball FighterZ
9. Life is Strange 2 - Episode 1
10. NBA 2K19

I am really loving this game, I’m not sure I like the upgrades being car specific instead of on your profile, once I unlock all seasons can you change them or will it automatically change after periods of time?

:o . I didn't realise that anyone published details of (console) digital sales! The charts are certainly gonna be shaken up if this becomes standard.

The open world changes season every IRL week on thursdays, however you can blueprint an event for any season you like.

Ah... looking at the small print, the chart includes PC and console sales... but only for certain publishers.. and nothing from the UK (physical or digital). I wonder when we'll finally get access to an accurate sales chart?

The UK includes Digital from the start of next year, going to be weird seeing something like Ori 2 topping the charts.

Thanks for the heads-up, MM! It'd be great to have access to accurate sales charts... for the past few years such charts have felt a loose guide at best.

Battlefield 1 was given a super discount to I think £5 (maybe £10) with the season pass which is terrific value as it's a great game that I still play.

Do you teach a point where you need to upgrade your car to be competitive or do you just need to race better?

*Edit*Won a Lambo on the wheel spin so guessing I'm good to go for the remainder of the game

Nice one. On FM7, looking at the leaderboards was a good way of guaging how well youre doing, and the rivals in that were kept competitive with various challenges. Its slightly different in FH4 as you said before. Hoping playground will support this. Check out Peters times in the business challenges - hes a beast.
