Actually, the £7 standard edition will do me. I thought Ultimate included expansions, but it’s just cars and bonuses I can do without.

The VIP thing is a cash doubler, a bit of a sneaky trick which means without it you are basically playing in slow mode in terms of buying/upgrading cars, so is probably "worth" getting.

I find Forza 7 pretty slow to earn money even with VIP. Forza 6, along with FH3 and FH4 were throwing money at you. In F6 I don't even have the VIP thing but I seemed to be getting 1 million payouts for a level up wheel spin quite regularly and I couldn't run out of money if I tried. In F7 they'd give you 50k when levelling up or a high value car you probably don't even want.

Hang on, the ‘Gold’ edition doesn’t include all the DLC? How much is all the DLC for it then?

It does include most, if not all, the DLC. There might be a few car packs that were released separately.

My concern was with getting any new tracks/modes/locations DLC, but there aren’t any (apart from free updates for all versions), so there’s no reason for me to get anything other than the standard edition. I’m not bothered about car packs.

It is tempting, but I can’t see me 100%-ing it anyway. And I’m not paying £10 extra for it. Basically, I don’t want to be locked out of anything.

That makes a little more sense, to me the top tier edition on sale should really include all of the DLC, especially in the latter stages of when it’s on sale.

I’m just hoping now this is being taken off sale in the next 7 ish weeks that some news about FM 8 isn’t too far away, hopefully.

After some thought I'll probably give this a miss, I have plenty of racing games already and Horizon 5 is coming out in a few months, I could go and play one of several other car collecting games to get the same experience.

EDIT: Ended up getting it anyway, but through the Icelandic MS store where the currency conversion brought the ultimate edition to half the UK price. I'll definitely be getting FH5 through that as it brings the ultimate edition down to a much more sane £50-ish.

Just bought the standard edition using credit from reward points. Even though I could have spent that credit on something else, getting this for free lessens the annoyance at its delisting.

Two days left for anyone still not getting it while they can.

So will it disappear from gamepass and my library if I don’t buy the vase game for £7?

Yep. Well, it won’t disappear. It just won’t boot up, and there will be no way to buy it (except disc).
