Spent most of it facing the wrong way

The Corvette E Ray (or however it's spelt?), I thought that handled awfully

I'd be down for everyone to decide on a car/track and then give it a week to set our best time, maybe car would be stock but with racing soft tyres if its not already got them?

Is there a car club/clan-type thing in this?

I switch a lot off but not everything.

Decided to let the game self level my BMW saloon for 20 laps, guess I’ll be back in a bit

Going to try it with the pad as well, obviously won’t be as fun as the wheel but then it has the benefit that I don’t need to move stuff to get my wheel out/set up to sit down for an hour with it.

Oh great. Just checked the download progress, and it had stalled at around a quarter. So just another 100GB to go.

Looking like 20 laps of the full Circuit de la Sarthe is worth about 35 car levels on the auto drive, it's made a few errors on the corner after the Dunlop Curve but generally its actually been very safe and consistent.

Edit, along with 62000 driver exp and then 166k in credits due to having the VIP pass, took just over 1 hour 30 as well.

Games that play themselves. Is that where we are now?

The fact that this is even something you need to contemplate doing this early in the game shows how flawed the levelling thing is.

I will not be making a habit of it, just wanted to test it after mcjihge2 mentioned it, wanted to see how beneficial it could be and while I had a few bits to do this afternoon I thought I may as well try it. I'm very surprised how well the assists can drive you round the track as well, it's a very dull way to level up though. The levelling system 100% needs some tweaks, no one is going to have the motivation and/or time after loads of hours in the game to constantly be driving cars for 3-4 hours so they can get all the upgrades on it.

I meant 25 car levels too btw

Edit, just tried driving the BMW without any assists (barring ABS) on the pad, stock settings for the pad are very twitchy aren't they?

Theres the two featured rivals;- ERay on maple valley (I thought it handled ok), and the subaru brz on vir south, but that ends in a day - there will be a replacement after. And theres the VIP rival corvett on laguna seca.
