No I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree more with this. DoFP is as bad as X-Men Last Stand for just abusing the source material and being a strawberry floating woeful film. Only good part of DoFP is Quicksilver's slow mo bit and even then I still hate his "costume" :dread: :dread:

Nah. First Class was as bad as The Last Stand in many places, but Days of Future Past was a surprisingly lean and focused flick, way moreso than I reckon everyone expected it to be.

Source material arguments. All adaptations should stray away from the source material in some respects, I don't see how being faithful is anything other than damaging to the film version.

I know that, I didn't mean they literally had to follow the storyline. I meant more in the sense of: Why take a classic comic book story, eg Dark Phoenix Saga, DoFP, and basically rip out most of what made them good just to make them Wolverine-centric. And DoFP comic story was Wolverine centric and the movie still took the piss.

I fully use that against the marvel studio films though, e.g Iron Man 3.

I've enjoyed the Marvel films to Spidey and X-Men. Never liked the Spidey and X-Men films much, if I'm honest. I watched them all not long ago again, and still think meh. Marvel films I enjoy. Also, Blade is ace.

Can you envision Fox ever making a film as fun as Guardians of Galaxy?

First Class was way better than DoFP. I was rather disappointed with the latter.

Did you watch DOFP? :? Wolverine was basically just a plot device, the story was focused 100% on Xavier, Magneto and Mystique. It's one of the reasons I loved it more than I thought I would.

As for Iron Man 3, let's not open that can of worms.

I might be alone here but I really don't think Iron Man 3 was too Wolverine-centric.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR Release Date Delayed
The Fantastic Four has now been delayed, though Josh Trank's new take on the iconic Marvel characters hasn't suffered anywhere near as badly as Assassin's Creed. The big screen adaptation of the Ubisoft franchise starring Michael Fassbender no longer has a release date at all!

It's not a major delay, but the wait for Josh Trank's The Fantastic Four has now got a little longer as Fox have shifted its release date from June 19th, 2015 to August 7th, 2015. The reason for the change isn't quite clear, though as filming has already come to an end, it's likely more of a strategic choice than for reshoots or post-production issues. A six week delay is a shame, but nowhere near as disappointing as the fact that Assassin's Creed is now undated. Michael Fassbender is attached to star in the ambitious project which will bring the popular video game series to the big screen. Ubisoft are also hoping to turn Splinter Cell into a movie starring Tom Hardy, and while that all seems fine (it's at a different studio anyway), this isn't particularly good news for Assassin's Creed.

This film's version of Dr Doom sounds cool :simper: http://collider.com/doctor-doom-new-ori ... our-movie/
KEBBELL: He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story. And I’m sure I’ll be sent to jail for telling you that. The Doom in ours—I’m a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I’m “Doom”.

jesus strawberry floating christ :fp: :fp:

that right there just shows that they don't get "it" like marvel studios does. If marvel had the rights to Doom would they be pulling this kinda gooseberry fool? Hell no, Doom would be the strawberry floating centre piece of their villains in the MCU right now.
