Francis isn't happy with Xbox Live

I clicked on this thread expecting it to contain a hilarious rant from Mafro about the evils of Microsoft.

Instead I get information that a YouTube Gamergate person I have never heard of is getting a divorce?

I like Boogie on You tube but he's a proper eejit on Twitch, it's like he has as split personality.

On You Tube he's chilled and thoughtful and on Twitch he's an absolute pleb.

That's actually one of the things I really dislike about the guy, he tries to portray himself as some kind of mediator, he's not left wing, he's not right wing, he's central. When he does go off from being this paragon of human reason he tries to portray it as him "being Francis", being in character. The whole being central thing in general does my head in to no ends as it's often so blatantly insincere, spineless and bullshit when a person does it.

Treating extremely toxic views as just a contrasting opinion to see eye to eye with is so intellectually dishonest, it drives me crazy that popular online figures like him and TotalBiscuit do it so often.

It's a gripe I have with the BBC. They give equal respect to views because that's "balance". People have equal right to express their view points, unfortunately the part where people also have an equal right to challenge them got lost somewhere.

I think it was John Oliver who made that point once on his show. He pointed out that 99% of scientists agreed that climate change was happening and so true balance would mean that a news studio would have 99 experts on climate change and 1 bloke who was sceptical.

Doesn't he do his Twitch in character though? I don't know, I've not seen it, but I thought his chilled stuff on weight loss and depression etc was the real him and his 'Francis' character was the one who's grating?

He's himself on Twitch and characters on YouTube.

Nope, he's more 'himself' I feel in You Tube, he posts about his health issues and weight loss surgery etc and his bouts of depression. His Francis videos are also on YT but they always have 'francis' in the title.
