A word to rioting Muslims

Best in a long time, deserves its own thread.

With responses of "God I hate that banana split" "Yeah he's right, but he doesn't have to be a banana split" "What a smug, yet correct, banana split"

Sounds vaguely familiar to me  Silva such a banana split.

Condells words would have been much funnier in text, in person he sounds intolerable. He sounds like what people think I sound like before mumbling me.

If it was a word to rioting Muslims it might be slightly more tolerable but it's not is it. It's a pretty disgusting attack on Islam and anyone who follows it.

Yeah it's a little bit like when Muslims kill innocent Americans in some blanket wave of revenge because of some poxy film. Except he hasn't killed anyone, or even threatened to.

If you have to block people you once considered friends, just because they went out of their way to make a joke about your football team, you're as sad as the losers on this forum who block people because they can't handle the opinions of others. If you're just blocking random folks you had because they're posting annoying gooseberry fool, then its different, but if you stop talking to friends you once liked over jokes, then you're a little baby.

Neither. I don't support any team. For example I blocked one guy from my feed because he posted a cartoon pic of a Bristol City fan pissing on a Bristol Rovers shirt. I support neither team, but I found the pic distasteful as it was done purely to annoy and get a reaction. I don't want to associate with people like that because it is typical arsehole behaviour.

In a similar way, this French magazine knows that the picture will offend a lot of Muslims. Discounting the scum that resort to violence, why is it suddenly ok to mock ordinary Muslims (or indeed any religion) just for their beliefs? That isn't freedom of speech, that's just being an arsehole.

If people want to have certain beliefs then that's up to them. I don't see why anybody needs to do something that would be considered incredibly insulting.

Seriously, you deleted someone for posting an immature cartoon? Anyway, the point is this sort of behaviour is free speech. We should be allowed to criticise Islam for it's backwards elements, so long as certain followers continue to act like animals. Elements of their religion offends me, but do I burn down their embassies, riot and kill people?

The deliberate offence causing is really just point making. We shall not give in to the bullies. They can continue practising their religion so long as they don't hurt anyone or get all uppity about gooseberry fool that doesn't affect them. Religion of peace indeed.

Not gunna quote cap red dog to stretch out the page, but like FE says, it's to make a point. That's what the mockery is there for.

You don't see any publications slapping out blasphemy for any other religion except islam, because no other religion will give a gooseberry fool, they may get outraged but you won't get them killing Americans because someone made a joke about christianity or hinduism. No one bothers to make a point of mocking them because we can do it freely anyway without any fear.

I'd probably remove people I didn't want to be associated with due to pissing on shirts and posting it on Facebook, but it's kind of sad that you blocked him because it was a football shirt and caused offence over footy teams. I'd have just removed the moron for pissing on a tshirt and posting a pic of it.

This is a good point. Do you remember a few years ago when the BBC decided to show "Jerry Springer - The Opera"? They ended up getting around 50,000 complaints.

And how many American embassies were burned?

Theres loads of examples of other religions taking offense and voicing it without resorting to rioting and mob violence. Youre quite entitled to be offended by something but you dont have the right to riot and demand censorship because of it. You dont like looking at something then just look away, its not as if someone went into all their homes and plastered an image of Mohammed all over their living room. Its a drawing in a magazine, get the strawberry float over it.

I really wish the world worked like that prison ship from Red Dwarf. Natural selection would be so much easier.

I'm loving the irony of the whole film outrage. Let's respond to being satirized as a hateful and violent religion by being hateful and violent.
