Nothing since Friends has been as consistently funny as it was, lots of similar sitcoms have come along and a few have been really funny for a bit. Friends was hilarious for about 5 seasons though and consistently funny (to about the same extent HIMYM was at its best) for the other 5.

I had high hopes for HIMYM after the first 2 seasons which I thought were great. Still like the show but the quality has drastically dropped. :(

Gutted. I've seen them all numerous times, but it definitely is the comfy slippers effect - home from work, grabbing some dinner, watch a Friends episode. So yes I will miss it.

Last episode is on E4 at 8pm on Sunday by the way, and fittingly it is the actual last episode.

The thing with Friends, even Scrubs (and Die Hard if you include films, although Die Hard shouldn't really be in the same sentence as the other two!) is that I will watch them if I'm flicking through channels. Even the last part of an episode (with adverts) but I have them all on my computer and on DVDs and could watch them in better quality, without ads and in the correct order :fp:

Drastically dropped is harsh, I've gone through the S1-5 DVDs several times and I love it all, for me it's only the latest season that hasn't been quite as funny but even then it's still entertaining enough and has excelled with some of the storylines and the development of Barney's character. S7 sounds promising too, although that's more to do with the prospect of progress with the story rather than the comedy.

HIMYM.

HIMYM might be remotely bearable if Lilly died of cancer and Marshall found a woman that wasn't a complete bitchcunt.

And if Robin spent all her time naked.

I wouldn't worry too much about Friends leaving Channel 4 / E4.

From the 1st of October Comedy Central will be airing the show in HD (for the first time), six hours a day Monday to Saturday:

• Mon-Sat 0800-0859 (2 episodes)
• Mon-Sat 0900-0959 (2 episodes)
• Mon-Sat 1400-1459 (2 episodes)
• Mon-Sat 1700-1759 (2 episodes)
• Mon-Sat 2000-2059 (2 episodes)
• Mon-Sat 00:00-01:00 (2 episodes)
• Sun 1500-2059 (12 episodes)

Or if they were to just quit while they're ahead and introduce the mother for a season before they get married. Shame they won't, because season 7 will be a by-the-numbers TV sitcom pregnancy

Agreed. I have a 55 inch monster which makes Rachel's hair look like an absolute mess.

All the intelligent people know that Ross was the best character in Friends.

Apparently you can see 'every hair on Marcel's back, every string on Phoebe's guitar and every chin on fat Monica's face" in HD.
