Apparently you can see 'every hair on Marcel's back, every string on Phoebe's guitar and every chin on fat Monica's face" in HD.

The free porn episode! A shame because it's really good, one of the better ones from its peak era. Haven't really watched Friends since I burnt through the boxset last year over a couple of months - it was actually all I watched for a good 2 and a half months. But that boxset remains in my possession. I might download some rips for ease of access. DVDs are so antiquated man.

The episode where Joey is unable to mimic simple sounds was just on E4..

Such a shame, how they ruined that character.

I get where you're coming from and hear the criticism a lot but I still find dumb Joey strawberry floating hilarious.

I just got a flashback to when I first saw the episode where Joey keeps accidentally punching Ross in the face. I swear man I couldn't stop laughing for a good ten minutes.

Brilliant slapstick.

Is that the one where Phoebe tries to teach him French? Awful episode.

The only bad Friends episodes, in my opinion, are the ones which are almost entirely made up of flashbacks from previous episodes. There are too many of them.

An addendum to that would be to exclude the one in the last season, when Monica and Chandler put in the apartment offer. That was nostalgic, knowing that the programme was ending soon and looking over some of the best moments in the main flat.

Don't get me wrong, I still found mentally retarded Joey funny. Just not as funny, nor as well written, as dumb Joey.

Yes, I agree with that one. Of course such episodes have their place at times, but they didn't really need to do so many of them.

They had their place in context. You need to remember in the 90s complete season boxsets weren't really the norm. You'd usually get a VHS with 3 or 4 episodes on. And Friends wasn't repeated ad nauseum so the clips wouldn't have been seen as many times.

That's a fair point which I hadn't thought of before. I was very young when most of the series were being shown for the first time so I only really remember the daily showings on TV and my current DVD box set (well, two actually ).

Fair play to Comedy Central, they're going to be showing it in HD.
