No More Heroes is one of the very few games that I can't form an opinion about because it's just so weird. It's so absolutely batshit that I genuinely don't know if I like it or not. It has totally amazing bits and really rubbish bits and they don't even sort of fit together, and it doesn't make the slightest bit of sense, and you never know what it's going to do next. I would say that at least it's never boring, but actually it is boring sometimes. I don't know what to make of it at all.

Well, you'd be losing out on the satisfaction of the motion controls and the speaker-based phone calls. So no, it wouldn't have worked as well on any other console. Besides, it wasn't just the Nintendo mags praising it, so I'm pretty sure it's just because most people loved it.

Every time I've seen another game mentioned in this thread I've died a little inside.

How the strawberry float did they make that?

With the Little Big Planet level creator. Did you now know that it comes with a level creator, Kev? :P

LBP for me. I've not played anything other than the beta yet,but nothing this year has really wowed me other than this. Gears 2 might be in with a shot.

Is anyone else a bit disappointed by this years crop? MGS4,GTA IV,Fable 2 and Fallout (the years big games so far) have all left me feeling a tad underwhelmed, whereas last year Galaxy,Halo 3,CoD 4 and Uncharted really impressed me. Maybe we had it TOO good last year.

No, I like Fable 2 more than anything this year or last year. Oh, except for FFXII and RE4 Wii which were both last year I think (in terms of UK release dates).

I think you prefer the more guided rollercoaster experiences of COD4, GoW et al to the rather more open ended aimlessness of Fallout and Fable etc. MGS has always been overrated anyway *ducks*

Yeh,you're probably right. I find all that endless statting up in RPG's to be more tedium than a pleasure, and with RPG's and most sandbox type games i find them jack of all trades and master of none. What I'd give for a game with Zelda's puzzles and adventuring,a solid story and the combat of Halo. Half Life 3 hopefully.
