Fable II for sure. I love this game so much.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl would've won, but Fable II beats it by miles.

1. Fable II - I can overlook the bugs when the underlying game is so incredible. Installing makes it even better.
2. GTA4 - I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I'm a huge fan of the series. The city is gorgeous, and I have had hours upon hours of fun playing with the car physics and crash damage. Loved the story, too.
3. Saints Row 2 - Whilst not the most technically accomplished game in the world, it is certainly one of the most gratuitously fun. Oddly, it became even better when I made a cockney version of LewisD.

Oh, yeah. Gears 2, probably.

No LBP?

No. I like it, but I'm not head-over-heels about it. Unless the game itself dazzles me, the creation stuff's not enough for me personally. Can see why others love it, but for me controls for a platformer have to be absolutely perfect, and they're not.

You know the final version is meant to have better controls right?

So far, I'd have to go with either Dead Space or Far Cry 2. I've yet to play Fable II, and for some reason can't remember anything else of note from the last year. I know there must have been some. :|

I'll believe that when I see it. I've spoken to several people who've played the finished version who have exactly the same complaints.

Either way, it's unlikely to topple any of my top three.

Weird as the copy we have in the office is much tighter than the beta.

I should mention, Civ Rev is probably going to be my number 2 game.

It'll probably be between:

Valkyria Chronicles
Banjo Kazzoie: Nuts and Bolts
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm
Smash Bros. Brawl
MGS4/MGO

Mirror's Edge could be a contender, but I don't think I'll be picking it up this year.

Have you got Ninja Storm? I love the demo.

I'm probably the only person on here who thinks that, though.

I don't know about that...

It is probably the game I have got the most enjoyment out of so far this year, but I do feel a bit weird dubbing it GOTY. It's that or LostWinds.

Oh wow, I just realised that we're actually getting two Fire Emblem games in one year!

Mirror's Edge

Not played it, like, or anything else, but may soon. It's still the freshest game to appear this year, if that means anything. The first trailer, with the sublime music, futuristic aesthetic and heavy breathing of the character, and the way the first person view realistically view bobs up and down combined to give the feeling of something new, which really is all I want. It doesn't neccessarily have to change the world, so I doubt I'll be disappointed by it, and I have to play it regardless. Plus, I love jumping.

Could be Banjo or Gears, mainly for online multiplayer.

I haven't played much this year, but out of what I have played I'd say:

GTA IV
Lost Odyssey
Fable II

I'm hoping Mirror's Edge will win it for me but until then Fable 2 I think has it. I'm struggling to remember what games I've really enjoyed earlier this year, GTAIV of course, Geometry wars 2 yeah but the addiction has worn off, hmm, MGS4...nah, I liked it alot but not enough. Far Cry 2? as much as I'm loving it right now I'm not sure it's quite reached GOTY material, for me anyway...oh I don't know, it's between Fable 2, Far Cry 2 or GTAIV, for now.
