Have I missed part of ep2?

The one I just watched ended at the scene with Arya and the wolves but after reading the last few posts I reckon I've missed quite a lot.

I'm surprised they've sent Jon off to meet with Dany at this point. I thought that meeting would wait until he's had chance to talk to Bran.

Maybe he'll bump into him on the way.

I wanted Arya's direwolf to join her so that Arya would have a wolf army.

Redownloaded it and have now seen it all.
So much for the sand snakes helping Dany take Westeros, what in Christs name was Euron attacking with? does he have pyromancers or something?

Interesting episode.

I get the feeling that when Jon Snow returns to the north things may be different.

I didn't understand the dire wolf bit. I thought the starks had an unbreakable bond with their dire wolfs? Also which wolfs are still alive? Isn't Jon snows? If so where is it?

Wow Nathalie Emmanuel has an maxing body.

As soon as the ships were attacked I knew some of the sand snakes would be toast. I also worked out straight away that he was after the mum to take to cersie as his gift. But what was with the fighting? Everything seemed sped up like it was playing on 2x speed.

Sam getting another comical bit was great.

I wonder now (spoiler from the trailers)

where the fighting was between the Lannisters and Danys troops. Was that kings landing or casterly rock?

I thought the battle was absolutely phenomenal personally. Intense and frantic, just like it should be. Turned a fairly standard episode into an excellent one.

Also...

Wasn't Jons wolf killed just before he was so it couldnt help him at the Wall? I think Arya said it wasn't her wolf after the stare down etc.

Really liked the Greyjoys scrap, totally different to normal faffing about with swordplay, was brutal.

I took Aryas comment to mean that her direwolf wasn't the same 'person' any more, in that it had reverted to a wild animal during their time apart.

Arya saying that's not you is an echo of her saying to Ned -' that's not me' when Ned said to her about being a lady. She's accepting that Nymeria is no longer her pet - she's got her own pack and life.
I had tears in my eyes at that scene. When Arya was asking her to come with her - it's the first time she's seemed like the little kid she was before all the gooseberry fool happened.
Loved her joy at the news from Hot pie as well.

That's a slightly more verbose version of what I meant but you explained it better than my hastily scrawled post.

I can't remember did Euron take Yara or just throw her to the side when Theon jumped over board?

If he just threw her to the ground then Theon actually saved both his and his sister lives by jumping off the ship. If he had tried to attack Euron then both him and Yara would probably have died.

Great episode.

Dat bit :datass: :datass: :datass:

The strawberry floating Kahleesi letter  Come on internet, dickbutt that gooseberry fool

Is it just me or is it really hard to see what's going on with these fights? Like the frame rate drops and you don't have time to see what's what. :?

It was pretty insane, the darkness didn't help either. I felt like they recorded it all as then played it back at x2 speed.

That was so strawberry floating cringeworthy.

Much preferred the first ep, think I'm in the minority though.
