The only real stretch so far has been Euron going from King's landing to the Sea of Lannisport (Casterly Rock).

I've kind of dismissed it this series as it's going so fast. The only thing that bugs me is the magic Euron ships that have trackers and teleportation devices.

He doesn't have trackers. If you're referring to the ambush of Yara's fleet. He was at King's Landing. Which is close to Dragonstone - all he has done is anticipate that they would ferry troops from there down or up the coast. All that's involved is scouting and good seamanship and a bit of luck. Don't forget - at that point Danearys didn't even know Euron had an Armada let alone that he was at King's landing. Their lack of reconnaissance and arrogance are what have cost them. Prior to yesterday anyway.

The real teleportation as I've said is when he has gone from King's landing to Lannisport to attack the unsullied ships.

Loved ep 4. Loving this whole season what with all the characters meeting up. Fave bits of ep 4 (other than climax): the duel, Arya giving LF the daggers, Dickon.

I suppose the complaint is because of the inconsistency compared to previous seasons, where it took people several episodes to get anywhere! I much prefer it this way, but there is a discontinuity with the GRRM-based material.

The main discontinuity is that the HBO version will have an ending. ;)

I want GRRM to troll his fans by writing novelisations of the TV show. Which will, of course, come out before the actual final 2 books.

(Hey, maybe that's what he's actually doing from Season 6 onwards but passing them off as his own work. That's why they're taking so long - he has to steal the ending from Benioff and Weiss. ;) )

Episode 5 script summary is "out there" apparently.

Nope. I don't go to the effort of finding things. I'll wait till someone else does and then PM them and "Oh hi buddy? Where'd you see that then?"

Fantastic episode, epic to see the Dothraki and Drogon do their thing! :toot:

Loved the bit with Arya and Brienne too.

Can't figure out what's going on with Littlefinger these days, does his scheming take the supernatural into account? Where does his plan go from here? Sansa doesn't trust him at all, he seems to be increasingly surrounded by people with abilities he surely couldn't account for, and if they find out he betrayed their father etc surely his days are numbered...

His scheming seems to focus on telling the kids he got hard over their mum (not weird at all).

But also - he's out of date. Sansa's he followed quite closely, but Arya/Bran are completely changed from when he knew them. He's operating on out of date intel and he's floundering.

I hope little finger stays in it a little longer, not least because my little finger impression has come on leaps and bounds of late.

His plan was going very well but he’s made two massive mistakes.

The first was his fault and was easily avoided. He gave Sansa to Ramsey. Sansa and Jon might have had to rely on his army, but they are not going to forget that. And Arya will stab the gooseberry fool out of him if she finds out.

The second wasn’t really his fault as he wasn't to know this was possible, but the return of Bran and his magic powers means that all of his double crossing and betrayals are likely to come out. Including his betrayal that led to Ned getting killed. Arya will stab the gooseberry fool out of him is she finds out.

Basically, Littlefinger is going to get stabbed.

What you mean is that Aiden Gillen has finally given up on trying any accents and is just talking like an Irishman.

Judging by how some of Drogons victims instantly turned into ash I's say dragon fire is pretty effing hot, I suppose anyone near enough to a sudden blast of heat like that would still get burnt even if they didn't burst into flames so it's not that unrealistic a reaction.
