Sort of like PC gaming on GRcade really.

If I ever post in a thread entitled "Game Thread for Console port, NO PC GAME DISCUSSION (that means NO PC GAME DISCUSSION)" then fair enough yeah.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

So, the latest season of GoT continues to lurch about, slightly out-of-control now that it isn't bound to the trajectory of the books any longer.

Problems I have with the season so far:

1. Too much magic. Have these writers never heard the sentiment that 'less is more'? What made the previous seasons interesting was the absence of - but always the vague possibility of - magic. Now things are just getting daft.
2. Plot holes the size of gaping chasms:

For instance, why did nobody to think to ask where the king actually was before they tooled-up and rode up the hill to take on the High Sparrow? Daft.

3. Arya's plot line is boring and has been a total waste of time in the new season to date.
4. Ditto, Dany.
5. Ditto Bran (very tiresome).

Also Lord of the Rings is gooseberry fool.

This bothered me greatly. Jaime's the lord commander of the Kingsguard and he doesn't know where the king is? Come on.

There aren't any spoilers of any note left. I get why people might have moaned in the past - but it is of no consequence now.

Those who haven't read them can have nothing spoilt now. We are all waiting to see what happens next with only speculation to guide us. That being the case - the non readers can probably and finally stop being whiny little bitches.

Honestly, unless someone dies or something spectacular happens then it's dull episode.

Quality scene showing the High Sparrow's sneakiness. Great scene and the return of Benjen to save Bran And Meera. Some more exposition and character development and Arya's story finally moves along.

But, no it was utter gooseberry fool!

Who's cold hands then?

The guy who saved Bran and Meera.

In the books both Bran and Sam are helped (on separate occasions) by a stranger dressed in Nights Watch gear who rides an Elk, Brans wolf doesn't like how he 'smells' and it soon becomes apparent that he doesn't actually breathe and has ice cold black hands, his identity isn't revealed but Bran refers to him as Coldhands

Why do I keep posting book spoilers, though admittedly misspelt?

I don't know, but the next person to do it will likely get threadbanned.

I dunno. Maybe? I'm worried if I don't at least threaten it then Winckle will stop making the forum work by pressing a button every 108 minutes like that thing in Lost

I just want to point out that I haven't posted any book spoilers. If anything I posted happens then that because I am one of the script writers, not because I read the books.
