Yeah read that yesterday. Is that excluding adverts?

Hbo doesn't have adverts, although for some reason most episodes so far have been 50 minutes instead of 60. Anyone know why that is?

I reported Karl's post as it mentioned the paper format of the show.

How about a thread for GOT in the context of people who read the books, and a thread for GOT who think GRRM's books are unreadable shite? That'd make the moderation teams life easier, surely.

I won't go into detail but I suspect/hope the 'ser friendzone' storyline with him trying to find a cure for his greyscale will include bits from one of Eurons other brothers (who isn't in the show) storlines.

There's also some interesting stuff I hope they keep from Eurons storyline, but again that's heading towards book spoiler territory so I'll say no more.

Ironhide, I appreciate you took care to not post anything you would perceive as a 'spoiler,' but regardless this post was reported. Like I say, I don't know anything about Game of Thrones, but I've seen very frequent reports in this thread so it's obviously bothering the sub-community here. I'll say again:

NO BOOK DISCUSSION means NO BOOK DISCUSSION. If in doubt: Don't MENTION the books, don't ALLUDE TO the books, PRETEND THE BOOKS DON'T EXIST.

I don't want to thread-ban anyone so please can we do better from now on. Peace out.

There's nothing in that post that is remotely a spoiler, it was merely me suggesting that instead of introducing another character for an as yet unseen plot point (which I deliberately didn't give any specific description of). the showrunners might merge it into another characters story arc instead , something which has already happened several times in the show.

I appreciate people don't want anyone saying things like S1 SPOILER AHEAD NED DIES AT THE END OF BOOK 1 type comments but as far as I'm aware I've never done that and never would.

In fact, just threadban me and put this whole thing to an end.

Dude, don't be melodramatic, can't you just stop talking about the books here? If the books are your thing then like Wrathy suggested you can start (or bump if it already exists...?) a book discussion thread. Or use the Literature thread. :)

Please Just stop talking\referencing about the books, there doesn't need to be any drama.

There is another thread for people that have read the books if you can find it.

I believe the thread is titled 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.

I love the ongoing drama about what is or isn't book discussion, and the subsequent fallout.

That's interesting so do sky ad the adverts into the live broadcast?

Look, this is daft. Even I didn't get it at first, but come ooooonnnn. The thread title doesn't say "no book spoilers", it says no book discussion. That's because some people who watch the show don't want to know owt about the books. Even if it's stuff that's been totally left out, or changed completely; it might still be in the show in some capacity. We've already seen they've moved certain things around.

There is now a thread specifically about comparisons between the show and the books. All TV-only talk could go here; all book-only talk can stay in the book thread (for those who don't want the TV watchers in the book thread, as the show is now well ahead of the timeline in the books ). All crossover chat can go in the new thread, safe and sound, everyone's happy, bish bash bosh.

Seems a bit pointless to have a another thread - when there are no spoilers left.

When there were - I get the problem non readers had. But now - it's whining for the sake of it.

Non book readers and readers are in the same boat.

This is how I felt until recently - there are still spoilers left, because stuff that happened earlier in the timeline in the books, that we assumed had just been left out, is being brought in now, later on in the show's timeline.
