That would be true if Jaime was Kingsguard. He's been booted off, so he's next.

Personally, I don't think anyone will be sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of this. I reckon only a small number of the characters will actually survive all the stuff that is coming. The ones that are left won't have any interest in it.

It would be a nice way to end the series.

It'll end with Daenarys ruling over an empty frozen wasteland with Jon and Tyrion as her husbands who are both actually half Targaryan themselves.

Depends what the reason is for finding the next ruler if it's because everyone finds out that tommen wasn't Roberts kid then surely it has to go back to Robert Baratheon being the last true king and then it's whoever is closest related to him? This is assuming that it can't be cersei as people find out about her crimes etc..

I don't know I don't think it will come to that. Someone will likely just seize the throne anyway.

Maybe Littlefinger will be in with a chance of sitting on the throne for a bit after all his scheming.

It's Jaime through the Baratheon line, not through the fact that his sister married RB. Apparently if you go back through the Baratheons (you can't go forward as they're all dead) one of them was married to a Lannister.

Yeah thats how it gets back to Jamie and Cersei. It definitely wont come down to that, it will be some seizing of power by someone but it would be hilarious if this season ended with Cersei killing Tommen to get Jamie on the throne.

How funny would it be for danaeris to get killed the instant she actually goes into battle, a show long troll.

Tyrion being a Targaryen is an awful awful theory and it should never be mentioned again. I hate everything about it.

I can accept Jaime and Cersei being the Mad King's bastard children. That actually makes sense in story and there are some nice parallels.

Or she flies in, realises Westeros is a shithole and then bails.

I think it's viable for Tyrion to be Mad King's son also. Anything can happen in this show.

Because it's hers by birthright. It was stolen by the Baratheons and Lannisters, and now she wants it back.

Tyrion so far does not seem to have been terribly effective as advisor. Perhaps his mistake will make him take the experience of those who better understand the local culture more seriously. Giving ground to the Masters was just taken as a sign of weakness and prompted them to attack. That said, it may have worked in their advantage as now they can just wipe out the enemy fleet in ahail of dragon fire (assuming she does not have some kind of moral crisis about all the galley slaves she is burning to death, which I suppose might be understandable).

Has anyone considered the idea that the renegade fleet from the Iron Islands may just join the slavers for the ultimate "strawberry float you!" to everyone? They could then just turn around and slaughter everyone on the Iron Islands while they are busy getting the materials and starting to build the new fleet.

It's fairly likely that Yara will send boarding parties to commandeer some of the slaver ships then present said ships to Danaerys in exchange for an alliance and assistance in overthrowing Euron (and possibly a go on Danys tits).

I'm sure she'd be up for exchanging a few ships for motorboats.
