How did Euron Greyjoy know that the rebel Greyjoys would be going back across to Dorn?

How did Euron Greyjoy even spot them in the mist?

How did Euron Greyjoy develop homing fireball throwers?

Anyone got the answers?

He's just pure plot armour. Every scene with him is just slapstick, half expecting him to turn and wink right into the camera accompanied by a ding noise after every one of his lines.

I really hate that expression. Plot armour.
He built the fleet in the time it took them to sail to Meereen and Back. Not just back.
He knows they're on Dragonstone which is Very close to King's landing so it's easy to intercept them as he did last week.
Also as a man who's been a battle hardened pirate his whole life - its reasonable to assume he can fight well at sea so his crews being good with catapults and knowing how to assault other ships is really not a stretch at all.

Great episode. Pacing is much better too, perhaps the shorter season does have some advantages.

Olenna was awesome as usual. Cersei was amazing as well. Dripping venom and hideously vengeful.

I think they've just binned the Dorne story line because it's been gooseberry fool.

A bunch of the Tyrell's forces sided with the Lannisters, that was what the scene with Sam's dad (their greatest general) was about and why we saw him riding alongside the army (they'd rather ally with the Lannisters than ally with foreign invaders).

Weren't they the Tarly forces? I can't remember what was discussed.

In normal seasons they would be out of the war as it would take them so long to cross the land as they are so far south however this season they can just use the teleporter machine that everyone else seems to be using.

Don't look that far away:

Actually yeah considering how quickly they've traveled from Kings Landing to High Garden you are right. However i expect them to be just written out for some reason despite their army just sitting there untouched.

Horn Hill is in the Reach which is ruled by House Tyrell, and House Tarly are one of the Houses sworn to House Tyrell.

Ah right that makes sense then. I couldn't remember who were aligned with the Tyrells.

Trailer for Episode 4, I think from memory this is the episode with the short running time of only 40 something mins.

The second box contains comments on the trailer

I can only assume that Jamie will get attacked whilst travelling back with the gold

Also who is that overlooking winterfell on his horse? looks a bit like benjen stark

I thought Tarly turned against Tyrell too?

Yep they did, we were discussing why the Tyrell's army was defeated - the Lannisters won other Houses from the Reach to their side and against the Tyrells because they didn't want to ally with the foreign invaders.

I liked that the Iron Bank hasn't been forgotten about. There is hope for Gendry yet!

The issue with Dorne now in reality is that there'd be a power vacuum so there'd probably be protracted internecine warring between the remaining powerful houses there before a winner emerged to lead them. I wouldn't put it past Cersei or Qyburn to then do a similar deal with the winner.

Spoiler contains discussion on the trailer for ep4

I've watched it a couple of times and can't see which bit you are referring to?

Spoilers for ep 4

It'll be dragons & the dothraki vs the Lannister army I think, when you compare the trailer for the next episode and the trailer for the series as a whole.

I expect all three of the dragons to get taken out by Euron personally throwing each spear while standing on top of a horse as fire reigns down around him but conveniently doesn't touch him.

Euron and Diana Rigg had the best lines.

"Does she like a finger in the bum?"

"He really was a banana split wasn't he"

A good episode. Jon meeting Dani. Actually seeing Casterly Rock. Mycroft Holmes back as the banker. Oh and Bronn!!

It's just a shame Ser Friendzone is on the mend. Hopefully they've thought of something interesting/exciting for him to do and he isn't going to spend the rest of the season just saying "but Khaleesi pleeeeeaaase".

Good episode, although I'm finding the fast pace meaning we don't get to really savour these moments. Jon meeting danny after all these seasons should have been really special, but it's just like 'oh right, he's said that.". Onion knight has a man crush on Jon.

Hopefully they'll realise the dragons can scoop up chunks of dragon glass and drop them down on the white walkers like some scaled fire dowsing helicopter.
