Probably has enough get out clauses that they never have to pay out on it though.

I would guess they almost never have to pay out on it, blu-rays are like, impossible to scratch unless you take a knife to them.

More brilliant GAME blurb...

Image

BELONG has landed. A cutting-edge Gaming Arena where you get the chance to play HARD, test the latest tech and join other like-minded GAMERS across multiple platforms including PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It's an opportunity to catch up and challenge pals in person, not over a headset, because gaming together is altogether better. It's time to BELONG.

We've got loads of exciting activity coming up in our BELONG arenas. Play and compete in our Call of Duty: WWII tournaments, experience the power of the upcoming Xbox One X console and get involved in our free-to-play sessions of Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II.

PARTY HARD

Whether it’s a birthday bash or you’re simply looking to gather your besties and challenge the rest, talk to us about privately hiring the BELONG Gaming Arena.

Teams and players can register to take part in their local BELONG Arena Qualifiers where they will compete with locals to determine their seeding for the full BELONG Arena Clash season.

Once the Qualifiers are finished the real fight begins, players will rally behind their Arena Tribes and face off with rival Arenas from across the UK. The winning teams will be rewarded with both prizes and the bragging rights that come with being the best Arena in the country.

The Arena Clash is open to anyone, just head down to your local Arena and sign-up to enter the Qualifiers!

"Players must be 16+ to enter tournaments. No exceptions, no excuses. Sorry."

Not sure if that's an apology for just that or the whole thing in general

Did they really pick a TLD of gg because of the slang?

I'm annoyed there is no Southend team. It leads itself to obvious gags.

Tried watching that. Cringe factor went up to 11 after Harry's second line and I had to turn it off

Another interesting piece of email correspondence from GAME...

Fa la la la la la blah blah blaaah!

Is the most wonderful time of the year? Is it? Is it really? A whole month of being subjected to Mariah Carey screeching her way through THAT song, buying secret Santa gifts for people you hardly know, giving and receiving naff bits of card that are only going to gather dust and get thrown away, decorating dead tree carcases with tacky baubles... ho ho NO!

If you're not into all that jolly mumbo jumbo then its business as usual here at GAME and we've got your back. Our pre-orders will give you something to actually look forward to in 2018, there's our latest gaming news and no need to be a scrooge when there's a great selection of 2 for £20 as well as accessory deals and trade in!

Bah humbug indeed!

Slag off Christmas and those who buy for it on the run up to Christmas - the busiest shopping time of year.

Great business sense.

I look forward to their 'if you buy anything for this you're a banana split' Easter campaign.

Queued for ten minutes to get a few discounted games as a Christmas splurge. Two of the three things - no stock, despite the shelves being stacked with boxes.

Ordered the same things from Amazon. Same price. They'll be here tomorrow. Screw GAME, forever.

I queued the other day at Game to get something too. They basically chucked the disc and instructions in the box I brought to them from the shelf. I was like, 'have you got a sealed copy, it's a gift?'. They said they didn't keep sealed copies. I walked out.

Man, I’m trying to remember the last time I purchased a game from one of those retail drawers. I do have a shitty anecdote about one though! We had to take Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on PSone back to Woolworths because the disc was scratched.

They usually only have sealed copies of stuff like CoD/Battlefield/Fifa where they have loads of copies.

I didn’t know shops still had that system. Even supermarkets always give me the sealed copy.
