Why don't they port the games onto the new console (in HD of course) and bundle them as 'Wii Extreme Sports' or whatever? So you'd have 1080 Avalanche as 'Wii Snowboarding', Wave Race Blue Storm as 'Jet Skii' or whatever, and I suppose Excitebike 64 would complete the set in the absence of a GC outing. Online features could be included too. I imagine this would address a fair few criticisms for much less economic outlay.

This is the main reason why I have trust issues.

Good shout.

If the WiiU was just all gamecube remakes I'd be ecstatic. So many good franchises were ignored on Wii.

I should really get dolphin emulation working.

I still have my Gamecube set up and still play on it pretty rergularly. When I have friends over we have a few games of Mario Tennis, Smash Brothers Melee, Sega Soccer Slam, Double Dash and a few others besides. I am also currently part way through replaying Sunshine but getting a little frustrated by some of the more difficult Shines like that one on the little island in the hub world that you need to transport a Yoshi to by hopping on boats. Not only is the Shine itself a nightmare to earn just getting there is a major ball ache.

I use Dolphin to play classics like Rogue Leader, F-Zero GX and TimeSplitters. If I feel the need to use a console, I'll load up Nintendont on my Wii U.

Never had a Cube, but got a large Cube library that I play on the Wii and that's still hooked up for that reason. I'd love to use Dolphin one day but I'd need a new computer for that.

Spice Orange GameCube and Panasonic Q GameCube are my favourite designs of consoles of all time. The Japanese boxes and discs are the cutest and the GC gave us the best wireless controller of all time in the WaveBird

Happy Birthday!

Mine is hooked up. I currently use it for gameboy player to a 240p monitor because I play gc games via component in the wii.

The last gamecube game I played was Burnout 2 I think, which is fantastic.
