So really TP in the gamecube is how the game should have been!

The wii really is the ultimate nintendo console isn't it, if you consider that it can play all games up until the wii era from nintendo.

Well that's just not true. There are plenty of games that never got on the VC.

Maybe, but it's got the main ones!

Anyway started mario sunshine again - just awesome and better than either of the galaxy games imo!

As I understand it Twilight Princess was always meant to be a Gamecube came but by the time it was released the console was already on it's last legs (if not dead) so making the lead format the Wii was a no brainer. I'd love to own the GC version as I reckon it'll only appreciate in value considering it's rarity.

Not sure about that, there are a lot of games missing.

No Bionic Commando, Battletoads, Contra, Yoshi's Island, Star Fox, UniRally, Sunset Riders, Breath of Fire, Shadowrun, Soul Blazer, Pilotwings 64, Harvest Moon 64, any of the Rare developed N64 titles.

If you go looking you could quite easily come up with 30-50 classic Nintendo console games that aren't on VC. Its not that VC doesn't have a wide range of titles now, but its far from being comprehensive.

EDIT - There are only 21 N64 games on VC for example.

But Llyat Wars is on the Wii VC.

I read somewhere that they've had problems emulating the Super FX Chip games, which Star Fox does use?

Ahhh...the GameCube. Loved the SNES, the N64 ruined my love for Nintendo and then the GameCube came along. It took me a while to get back to them but now I consider the GameCube to be, possibly, the greatest console ever made.

EDIT: I also think the GameCube is the only console to have a timeless aesthetic. It just looks...right.

Eh? Why would Nintendo's greatest console ruin your love for them?

No Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon for the VC is a crime. Sort it out, Konami.

Turns out she's proper into Zelda... I knew she knew OF Zelda but she has the GC version of TP AND the Zelda: Collector's Edition, not to mention both DS games... that's all I got to see before she dragged me to the bedroom.

I totally agree. I have my Pearl one out and it looks timeless, I think even if I were to box up all the consoles, which at the mo I'm very tempted to do, I'd still keep it out just because it looks great. And the games obviously.

The GC is totally a timeless console. Getting one new would still compete on gameplay terms with current gen in certain genres.

I wish they'd just remake this game. It is crying out for it. Early Super FX stuff is an eyesore now.

I don't know, if you can say that about GC I think you could say exactly the same thing about PS2 and Xbox.
