Fzero gx is just a brilliant example of speed and precise controls. Windwaker looks the business and doesn't need a hd remake at all - will be replaying this one!

So many great games to pick up and play using the magnificent wavebird - so glad i kept it!

I've got the GC version of TP too. Yet I can't see it amongst my collection. This displeases me. Might need to go on a hunt.

edit - Found it

Ok, going to expand my gamecube collection significantly over the coming months and get games like twilight princess, mgs twin snakes and star fox adventures.

What rpg/ adventure games would you recommend? As for the wii - is the last story worth giving a try? Still have a few games i want to complete on that too like no more heroes 2 and kirbys epic yarn.

There really aren't many RPGs on Gamecube. You've got Paper Mario 2, Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Lost Kingdoms 1 and 2, The Lord of The Rings The Third Age and not a whole lot else.

As for action adventure you can't go wrong with Chibi Robo. It looks like ass since it started life as an N64 game but it's a really good game, worth getting if the price is right. I struck lucky and got it for around £20 factory sealed but that was a couple of years back.

As far as RPGs go you've also got...

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Pokémon Colosseum
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
Mega Man X: Command Mission
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
PSO Episode I & II
PSO Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution

There are also games that never got released in Europe, Custom Robo and Baten Kaitos Origins.

I had forgotten about Mega Man X Command Mission. Is it any good? I wouldn't mind giving it a blast.

Personally, I really enjoyed it. It's definitely RPG-lite as it's real time combat and the levelling up/weapon system isn't advanced, but for me that was perfect. The battling is so much fun. For a while after release there were quite a few people playing the online multiplayer but I think that's pretty much dead now.

It's well worth it. It feels more like a Final Fantasy in places than some FF's do. And the characters are actually awesome... I really fell for the fit drunk lass though I forget her name, which is down to the decent localisation and fairly decent voice acting.

Gamecube.

Seems like so long ago now, but there actually was a time before Nintendo lost the plot with shitty gimmicky controls and underpowered machines when a Nintendo console was a worthy purchase.

Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 are long overdue an HD upgrade port to PC.

Just brought back my Wii after a visit to my parents mainly for the Cube games. I've been scouring ebay for games. Picket up Lord of the Rings the 2 Towers and have bids on TimeSplitters 2 Luigi's Mansion and Simpsons Road Rage.

After that just need to add F Zero, 1080 and maybe Freedom Fighters and I'm pretty happy.

Some good games there but Return of the King is much better than Two Towers, so grab that if you can. Freedom Fighters is awesome and very deserving of a sequel.
