Great stuff. Don't go expecting something as classy as Prime, but I would say Echoes is certainly much more of a challenge, especially where the bosses are concerned. So many people on old GR bitched about them.

If it wasn't for the overly difficult bosses I'm sure I would have enjoyed echoes a lot more.

You shut up, sir. Having said that, MP is an abortion of a game.

Depends. I haven't played Corruption so I can't tell you what the controls will be like, however you can probably pick up the GC edition for around a fiver, play it with the controls it was intended to be played with and the version which was lauded one of the best games ever.

Wii controls every time. The greater degree of control helped me immerse myself into the Metroid world even more(which should be great for MP) and they helped also during combat. The aiming is more manual when your using the lock on which helps for multiple targets and you can flick the remote up to make the ball jump as well which does help in the heat of things.

You'll have to make your own mind up but there's alot of fps games I'd love to play with Wii controls.

I've been hoovering up cheap old GC games from Amazon to play on the Wii. Mostly lesser stuff that I missed first time around but which intrigued me. I'm currently quite enjoying Geist, partly cos I didn't expect much of it. PN 03 kind of annoys me and compels me in equal measures too. So hello to everyone in shiny cutting-edge 2009 from some dim mediocre corner of 2004! :)

I'm interested to see what New Play Control Metroid is like... But I can recommend the original GC title without hesistation.

If it plays like MP3 i'd prefer the GC version the GC pad is just fantastic IMO! :D

I rememeber saving up for months for a Gamecube expecting it to cost 170 odd quid and then being dead happy that I would actually be able to afford a game with it when the price was reduced to 130 quid at the last minute

Heh. GAME did me some deal which allowed me to get two games instead of one, so I got Luigi's Mansion and Sonic 2. I'm quite glad I did get Sonic because LM was really short. I'd finished it in a day or two.

A Wii sequel should have been a certainty, but this is Nintendo we are talking about.

A sequel would be--regardless of whatever other titles Nintendo announce for the system--my most anticipated game for the Wii, without question. I loved the first one to bits.
