Was looking forward to playing Wind Waker today. I managed to borrow a copy of the game, a pad and a memory card from my little cousin. Well excited I booted it up on my Wii and got ready, only to find that his shitting Animal Crossing town was taking up the whole memory card :|

I'll have to either buy a memory card or get another off him.

Hahahahahaha! The funny thing here is that your face is an abortion of a face.

I get that. Vanessa's lovely bottom is the compelling part and the rest of the game is the annoying bit, right? Right.

I'm fed up with having nothing new to play on the 360. I'm going to go and play through Prime and Echoes right now. BRB.

Y'done yet? I'd have thought someone as skilled as yourself would have dusted them off by the morning time.

Has anyone here played Baten Kaitos?

Despite having quite a few GC games to get through still (including the mammoth Tales of Symphonia), I'm tempted by Akai selling it.

I loved Baten Kaitos. Beautiful art and fantastic music. The combat is a fast paced card game which can rely on luck at times and the difficult is all over the place. But it is my favourite RPG on the Gamecube, just seeing each new location was worth it and it took me about 55 hours without doing any side quests so it is a good length.

Go for it, it's superb. One of the best games on the cube.

The sequel is still good, but is too simplified.

I really need to finish that. I loved MP 1 and 3 and loved what I'd played of Echoes, even if it is probably the worst of the bunch. The dark world is a bit too purple for my liking and it's not exactly fun to explore when it whittles your health down, which is a bit of bummer when the game is all about exploration. There were quite a few nasty difficulty spikes too, though I did manage to beat the Boost Ball and Spider Ball Guardian before I stopped playing. I'll probably start again though, so will have to face those bastards again.

This summer I'm going to try and go through my GC back catalogue and complete the dozen or so games that I never finished. I think I've got:

(Uncompleted)

Metroid Prime 2
Chibi Robo
Four Swords
Eternal Darkness (need to do it on the last alignment thingy)
Donkey Konga
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (need all the medals)
Billy Hatcher (maybe not got all S ranks)
F Zero GX
Mario Power Tennis
Hitman 2
Mario Golf

(Not even played)

Fire Emblem
Tales of Symphonia
Resi 3
Pikmin 2
Code Veronica

There's probably more too. I love the console though, even if the N64 does pip it due to nostalgia and my first experiences with quite a lot of genres and series.

I still remember the time I got my Gamecube from Dixons on that sunny afternoon on the 3rd of May.

Wonderful.

I think I bought Rogue Leader before I actually purchased the system. They must have been sold out of the console, I suppose.

I remember walking into another GAME sometime after that and getting Smash Bros. and their last GC. Luckily it was black.

I'm playing through Resi 4 at the moment. Immense game, easily makes my top ten. Just got to the Castle, so now I get to fight funky monks and that freaky little midget who is awesome despite being freaky.

Yup - there was a reason why the GC version originally game with it's own memory card.

Retro gaming, that's where I want to look for GC talk. :fp:

From TCRT:

Just plugged in the GC for some Smash Bros. Absolutely sublime, as always! I was gonna get out the N64 to play Goldeneye, but I remembered I sold it. :(

If anyone has Metroid Prime and would be willing to part with it, PM me. Even just for a borrow (I'll pay!).
