The pictrues being cut in werid ways by the text boxes annoys me greatly for some reason.

New owners and coincidentally a new look that accentuates the change. It looks to me like an over-cluttered Wordpress theme - and I know because I've shopped around for a few.

Yeah the new design doesn't look great.

Probably won't be visiting there much any more, which to be fair has been the case for a while. It's a shame really as Eurogamer used to be the main gaming website that I used, but these days there are just not enough reasons to visit.

PushSquare and Nintendo Life are both GamerNetwork... I hope they don't follow in this style in the future. I know they haven't followed the style of Eurogamer before, but new owner might bring new changes.

You get used to no article photos in mobile view ,it's quite expedient way to read.

Surprised it's not responsive, the days of separate mobile designs should be dead ages ago.

Yeah the text overlay on article images is a bit off and too edgy for me, I think it looks fragmented. But whatever they're probably trying to be different a bit too hard.

Okay, so shortly after promising nothing much will change a sledgehammer has been taken the Eurogamer site. Apart from the logo it could look like literally any other site on the internet. I can see someone must have spent almost a whole week working on this redesign (assuming they did not just copy and paste the masterpages from any number of identical sites). In fact I suspect the template is copied as a lot of elements don't quite line up properly. It doesn't look like a custom job.

Whatever school of design thought out there that says everything needs to have loads of white space and no boarders to separate things needs to end now.

Honestly they could improve it just by reducing the amount of white displayed at once. It gets sore on the eyes after a while. I'm sure all that white space impresses their new corporate overlords but making it comfortable to read should be the priority. I suppose this problem is not as pronounced on mobile as there is not as much empty space in a smaller browser, but on my monitor it is blinding.

I still use the old one too. I actually forgot there was a new one until now.

It looks like one of those dodgy sites you see linked to at the bottom of other sites with silly clickbait headlines.

Accidentally just set the board style to 'prosilver', my god that's horrendous.

Seriously how? Have you looked at ‘GResponsive’ lately? It looks fantastic. I don’t know how I could go back.
