Shame, otherwise there's plenty of decent content this month.

Konami have stitched them up good and proper on this one. Presuming this was actually put together using a new hands on, which for a cover game you'd expect.

Don't OPM have a feature on this in their next issue too? I wonder if the same thing has happened to them.

They conducted an exclusive interview with Kojima at Konami this month (probably done in October?) so you'd expect they would have had access to this development - which had to have been known for quite a while? The next issue of OPM isn't out till December 28, so it's possible the VGA's would have just made the deadline.

It appears that Games TM were extrapolating the information we had on Rising pre-VGAs, which is unfortunate since the VGAs revealed that version had been scrapped in favour of the Platinum developed game.

The most important part of this months mag hasn't even been mentioned :fp:

Hyper Duel

Featured in collectors corner, one of the greatest shooters of all time right up there with Radiant Silvergun.

Also that's the first time I've ever seen Levine talk about Bioshock 2, although he doesn't say much.

I love that game, you never hear anything about it (Probably because it's rare and very expensive) so It's nice to see it recognised in a feature.

Although the guy who owns it says he hasn't played it much, just wanted to own it :fp:

I wish they'd stop making Metal Gear Solid's. Looking at that reveal for the first time might as well be like someone mocked it up as some sort of parody. Sequels are becoming ever more desperate that it's bordering on surreal and I am constantly questioning whether I am in the Matrix and it doesn't feel good, can developers just stop it. There is some promise, if Hideo Kojima is indeed a real human being then of course by now he'd be so sick of the gears of solid metal that the thought of making another would cause him to pass all the pain and misery onto some other poor soul, which it seems like what he has done. Good for him. Now make some interesting games you genius of videogame subversiveness before the world ends.

Pretty sure it was them. One of the XB only mags did a front cover just days before it went ps only.. i'd have been very pissed off with the publisher. Must have rather amused them when it turned out like that.

Metal Gear Solid is great. Solid Snake is great. The story however, is not. Forget that, and start again.
