Games you want to finally get round to playing in 2024

not really sure there are any games i'd like to get around to next year. or least none that i don't think can't wait

same as last year, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age, Metroid Other M, From Russia With Love
but will now add Mischief Makers onto the list.

The main games I'm planning on getting through shortly -

Disco Elysium (finally!), Sifu and Cyberpunk.

Also, Spiderman 2 in a few months; similarly to Miles Morales I watched my son finish it over a couple of days this Christmas, so want to give enough time for my own run through.

I still have a long list of shame to work through too, but will see how that goes!

I got a RG32 for Christmas so I can finally go back and play/finish:

I put this together the other day:

...and then saw multiple Disco Elysium mentions in the thread and thought crap, that should be in there too :simper:

Honestly I'm sure there's more, may throw in a few retro ones via Steam Deck emulation. Stuff like FF16 is also dependent on it getting a PC port this year

But yeah, it feels lovely to get round to To Do List games! I've had a similar thing with movies lately, just saw It's A Wonderful Life for first time :wub:

Finished Spiritfarer. Definitely a 10/10 for me though the ending was anticlimactic.

Hitman World of Assassination - the Game Pass games on my Xbox One still work! :shifty:

This seemed utterly massive. I've done the tutorial (where you have to kill the dude on the party boat) and its since dumped me back into the tutorial and encouraged me to try loads of different approaches but without the game holding my hand I've no clue how to make any of them a reality. I may persevere.

MK8 DX - I'd kind of forgotten how good this is. Jumped into a new Grand Prix with Petey Pirahna ( :wub:

) and got three stars first time. Might retire from MK now.

I've finally gotten round to the Resident Evil games, I got through RE1 [Original], 2, 3, Code Veronica X since the new year and now just need to continue with 0 then the rest of the franchise. I'm enjoying the series lore more than the games most of the time, looking forward to playing through Resident Evil 4 [Original] all the way through for the first time.
