There must be some reason it didn't get a ten, surely, other than they didn't feel like it?

Well, there are no negative words on display.

Ultimately, what Bethesda has created is a picture-perfect playground designed to engender pure love in those willing to lose themselves within it. Steady improvement, exploration of both place and possibility, and entrenchment in a fantasy world deeply fleshed out by hundreds of readable books, nefarious characters, epic battles, and an incalculable number of quests. If these are your reasons for picking up a videogame, these things have never been executed with greater virtuosity.

I find this odd.

Generally, if a game is about as fun as I can imagine it being, I think of it as a ten.

I don't tend to think "Absolutely brilliant game. Can't really fault it. Knock a mark off."

They'll most likely be reviewing the multiplayer separately.

Quite simply, Skyrim isn't as good a racing game as Burnout 3. That's the reason.

No, the majority of the review is for the online mode.

It's not as bad as The Official Xbox Magazine, who don't seem to understand what they're doing: 10 Ways to make Skyrim an 11/10

That's not how reviews work :x

The reason Skyrim or any Bethesda RPG for that matter misses out on a perfect score is all the bugs. Yes the game is amazing to play, very addictive, beautiful to look at and any number of other compliments can and surely have been sent it's way but when you can't progress the main plot of a game due to the character you are meant to be talking to having no relevant dialogue options a game cannot be branded perfect.

9 is a great score. For me, very few games should score 10.

If it is, then that's one suspect review.

So that's both Edge and GamesTM who say that Battlefield isn't what it was cracked up to be.

It's a difficult game to review as the experience when playing solo is so hit and miss. I think it should be pointed out that it's much better when playing friends but this shouldn't be reflected in the review score.

Did they mention which version of BF3 they reviewed?
