It looks like they used the same zombie models from RE2, but it definitely looks pretty crisp for a N64 game.

To properly list the Resi's in an order of preferance, I have to split it into two lists:

Resident Evil games which actually are proper Resident Evil games:
REmake
RE2
RE3
RE: Code Veronica X

Resident Evil games which aren't really proper Resident Evil games:
Resident Evil 4

Strangely though, 4 is the one which absolutely breaks into my top ten all time games (second only to OOT in honesty), but it's just not Resident Evil is it?

The first one I played was the N64 port of 2, even despite the ridiculous cost. I think me and my brother saved up between us for it, and ended up getting it from Gameplay back in the day when they had a online store service on the Sky Digital Open... platform. About £45 IIRC, insanely the RRP seemed to be £55.

Episode 4

Evil goes handheld, online, and into the arcades as the franchise blows up.

So Outbreak was basically Left-4-Dead of it's time? Half a dozen short scenarios designed for replayable co-op?

Not an especially interesting episode, to be honest.

The comparison is totally valid. It's a shame it was tied so completely to the PS2 hardware and it's expensive, damn near unavailable hard disk. I'd have loved to have played it.

I'm disappointed that they're lumping RE4 in with the films. Should definitely have got an episode to itself.

You didn't need the hard drive to play Resident Evil Outbreak, it did improve the load times though.
Resident Evil Outbreak could have been awesome if they had added voice chat to the game as playing Outbreak 2 online was impossible without any form of communication.

The best experience I had with this game was when me and my mate played it at the Playstation Experience. It was four machines linked up and since you could talk to your fellow players it made the experience so much more enjoyable.

If Capcom rereleased Outbreak 1 & 2 with added voice chat on the 360 and PS3 I would consider getting it.

I'd agree with that, especially with the number of different versions available now.

That and the movies stink to high heaven, with only Degeneration being of any quality.

The shotgun is a good weapon against them, but it still won't save you.

Be a real man and use the combat knife.*

*I've always been too scared to try that.

It was pants because you've never played any of the games in the video?

Hope it doesn't involve using grenade launcher flame rounds on garden zombies...
