When did this really peak? What was the lowest point for them?

N64 - only sold 32m, but GameBoy/Color were still selling
Gamecube - only sold 21m, but GBA did well with 81m sold
Wii U - only sold 13m, but 3DS has sold 72m

It seems that the perception comes that, Wii aside, each home console has sold less than the previous (NES > SNES > N64, GC, Wii U)

Switch, for me (in terms of form factor and processor architecture), was Nintendo effectively leaving the home console market, despite this it could become their third best selling system after the GB and DS.

NINTENDO ARE STILL DOOMED THOUGH
