Nothing wrong with that; EDGE can do whatever it wants. I gave away my entire EDGE collection about a year ago. I miss the fantastic graphic design, not so much the editorializing.

Just reminiscing about my favourite game mags... I have massively fond memories of:

80s: Popular Computing Weekly, Zzap! 64, Computer & Video Games, Commodore User

90s: Commodore Format, ST Action, Mean Machines, Sega Power, Amiga Format, Amiga Power, PlayStation Power (first three years), Official PlayStation Magazine, Nintendo Official Magazine, N64

00s: gamesTM, Retro Gamer, Xbox World (first year; i.e. Computec Media), Official Nintendo Magazine, Official PlayStation Magazine (2013+)

Super Play....how I miss it. Used to buy some USA mags too but they were all adverts.

There is still something amazing about finding out stuff in magazines. The hype they can build. I remember donkey Kong country in the official Nintendo magazine about 40 pages of review and hype. N64 magazine with Shadowman, pages and pages of hype. CVG with resident evil, it genuinely looked like a cut scene, the mind blowing hype of it all.

I used to love the cheats too and the random letters.

Also Games Master is still the best thing show about games ever, double Virtual Cop arcade machine challenge, Mario 64 reveal and challenge, guest stars and random kids asking questions of games Master.

Only thing that came close was Sky Ones Games World and that was only down to Jet from Gladiators with her norks popping out of a leather top and David Walliams doing scenes with a toy rabbit, also big boy barry, fat lad who played games well.

The magazine did also have some of the best April fool's jokes of all time.

Wish my image sig would work

Yeah I oddly remember seeing Electronic Gaming Monthly in my local newsagents and WH Smith's.

About half the magazine was player guides.
