Gaming mouse not installing HELP

Hi all I recently got an Anker gaming mouse but it refuses to work
on my new(er) windows 7 laptop.The drivers appear to install ok ,I even get the question do you want to run the prog' now at the end of the install.The mouse also appears in the control panel but I get error 28 no drivers installed ! If I plug the mouse into my older laptop it auto loads the drivers and works straight away ?? Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated .

Have you installed as administrator?

I have an Anker mouse (one with the changing colours) and it's always worked fine on windows 7 after just plugging it in.

thanks for the replies o/ yes it was installed as administrator ,no luck

might try a clean install (windows etc) to see if that cures the problem. just seems a bit drastic for the sake of a mouse.

Perhaps the mouse is faulty?

Definitely try it on a different machine before you do a fresh install.
