It's criminal that there hasn't been a full Rogue Squadron like VR game yet.

EA would never allow it, even though, given how Criterion nailed the Starfighter Assault mode, they'd blow us all away with a VR Rogue Squadron-esque title.

We'll have to wait and see if Disney decides to go multi-dev once its contract with EA is up. That's the only way we're gonna get what we really want.

Guess it’s not going to happen seeing that it’s not really a multi platform area. Sigh.

VR is PS4 and Windows so there's definitely a good sized multiplatform market for it. The PC/Windows side of the market has even expanded with the recent release of the Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

I would recommend Thumper, Tumble and Headmaster. Batman is awesome and isn't strictly horror, but I found a couple of bits bloody horrendous. Also, the free downloadable VR mission in Star Wars Battlefront is probably the single best experience I've ever had in 35 years of gaming.

I liked Tethered a lot and it's a very good price for a lot of content. It's also playable outside of VR if you can't be arsed getting the headset out.

Doom VFR is a solid fun game.

The initial control scheme is shite. Had to go into the options to switch on L stick movement and it’s a lot hell better. (I read that the move controllers scheme isn’t much of a cop either.)

Not bad for a £15 game.

Batman is a very short game. It just ends there abruptly. I’ll probably be pissed off if I paid for it at a full whack. Don’t have move controllers yet but the dualshock works okay.

Playroom VR is the best free game ever. My older two loved it as well.

Farpoint and Star Trek Bridge Crew are my top 2 VR games so far.
It's hard to count the Battlefront VR mission. It's one of my favourite VR experiences but isn't a full game sadly. Though it absolutely should be.

If we are talking about just the stuff in the sale then the following are definitely worth looking at.

Skyrim VR
Superhot VR (requires Move controllers)
Statik
Thumper
Tumble VR
Bound

I've not put Farpoint on the list because to get the proper experience you really need the AIM controller, its hard to find in the bundle at the moment though, so if you might be picking up the bundle for Bravo Team when it comes out then its definitely worth considering.

Of the less pricey games, I'd go for Statik and Thumper personally.

EDIT - Oh and apparently Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is pretty fun if you want some asynchronous local co-op play.

Both Ultrawings (looks like a VR version of Pilotwings) and Shooty Fruity VR are on sale this week.

Has anyone tried them? I've had them on my radar for a bit but obviously too stingy to pay full bucks for anything these days (no idea why, I think I am just getting tight in my old age).

Ultrawings looks good but reviews mention motion sickness. My VR stomach is pretty weak, but would be willing to push through if the game was worth it (there seems to be a number of comfort settings)

Shooty Fruity looks shallow but a lot of fun.

So Moss got a recommended from Eurogamer.

Absolutely adored the demo and the review seems to confirm that it's as good as it promised to be so I'm looking forward to playing this later on tonight. :toot: :toot:

How was it? Reviews look promising, although like most PSVR games it seems it may be a short experience.

I'm pretty bad at sticking at games through to completion, so it probably wouldn't affect me

Actually not bought it yet. Ended up waiting till I got paid, but my plan is to spend Saturday afternoon with it.

Everything I'm hearing says about 4-5 hours, which is about par for the course with VR right now.

Its putting me off the game at £25, there are cheaper VR games that offer more playtime than that. Should be £18 at most.

I bought 'The Lost Bear' in the Christmas Sale, with everyone saying how short it was (albeit a good experience)

Just about finished the first level so far.

No stamina these days (apart from AYAMMM!)

I got PlayStation VR at launch and I really didn’t like it, it made me feel sick and visually I found it very poor, certain things I found pretty cool but it’s not for me

Which games caused motion sickness?

I struggled with Resident Evil 7 before I turned off head-bobbing the settings, managed to complete it in VR after that. I think it was turned off by default in an update, why the hell it was enabled in VR mode I'll never know!

Have no problems at all in driving/flight games, really looking forward to playing Ace Combat 7 with the thing.

I don't mind the fact that it's not incredibly high rez - the framerate is good, and the 'screen door' effect gives everything a kind of 90's arcade cabinet kind of feel.
