Yeah perhaps I shouldn't have used the term "on-rails", more shooting gallery.

Ok so this is legitimately one of the most impressive things I've ever played with. Been playing about with a range of different things and it's blown me away with how good it is. Still not even touched Farpoint or Star Trek yet. Just been having fun with Arkham VR, Polybius, VR Worlds and a couple of smaller things. It's genuinely mind blowing. Watching my girlfriends boy playing London Heist and some of the attention to detail in that is fantastic. Being able to actually "smoke" the cigars, the falling bullet casings bouncing off your head in the loading screen when you die. Really cool. It's not without its quirks and having space is essential, but this is the future. It may not be the only future, but this tech is only going to get better and more impressive.

Well done Sony.

Tumble is honestly amazing and well worth £7.
It may sound simple as a block building puzzler but it also has puzzles with lasers, explosive puzzles and maths problems.
It really is the best £7 I've ever spent.

I'll check it out.

Got plenty to keep me going for the foreseeable future, but I'm definitely looking to get more games for it.

My plan is to get some Bridge Crew tutorials played tomorrow and see if I can get some MP on the go with you guys at the weekend.

I'd be up for Bridge Crew on Sunday night.

I love how HSH bangs the drum for Rez   . Would it be fair to say that you'd recommend trying Polybius, too?

I've enjoyed what I've played of it so far, its absolutely nuts in the same way Minter's games always are.

While I'd love to try Rez I'm pretty sure my eyes would go into shutdown mode and I'd end up with a simply monstrous migraine within minutes which would really not be worth it.

:o ... I would probably buy PSVR if there was!

 . I'd go for the £89.99 version from PSN :toot: .

I've not really had my head turned by PSVR at all so far... but I am keen to hear what folk think of Skyrim VR when it is released. I love the idea of it but I wonder how comfortable it will be to play. But... if Fallout 4 VR were to appear... I would be severely tempted.

I'd like to get Skyrim VR but there's no way I'm paying the £49.99 asking price for it.

Has anyone else tried The Solus Project on PSVR yet? Came out on Monday (it's currently on offer at £12.99) and it's pretty good. I'm an hour or so in and it seems like a mix of Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Don't Starve. The survival elements are pretty toned down (kind of like No Man's Sky) but it does seem to have some strange logic jumps (there's a bit at the beginning with a cave that isn't signposted very well even though the tutorial indicators are on). What it does nail really well though is the 1st person movement with Move controllers. It has teleportation which works well but you can also turn with your head (or buttons) and walk forward using a button press. If Skyrim was to use something similar then I'd be very happy.

I put in over 300 hours into the original Skyrim (I think) so Skyrim VR is an expensive punt when you are uncertain that such a long time won't give you motion sickness. I think I'm going to rent it first to see how I fair.

One of my move controllers drifts almost continually. Can't figure out whether it's just broken, some kind of light interference or down to the colour clothing I'm wearing. It essentially means I spend half my time shaking the bastard thing to get it to stop.

Aside from that, I'm still progressing through the Solus Project. Seems a fair bit of padding to stretch it out to 15 hours (I've been walking through a cave for what seems like forever), but it does have some nice touches.

Any way you can not 'warp' walk in this? Seems a terrible way to go about things to not at least have the option.

I think there is a normal control option with a DS4 controller. IE no motion controls, push up to move forward. Personally I would much prefer this because VR doesn't need to mean violently waving your arms about until you sweat. However this control method can induce nausea.
