Bridge Crew really should have been something special, but it's got a few things that hold it back.

1 - SP is utterly woeful. It's extremely difficult to manage the bridge on your own and I didn't think it was worth bothering with since MP is so much more fun.
2 - Lack of content. Once you've done the 7 or so Story missions there's very little to go back to. Which leads onto...
3 - Tiny community. There's hardly anyone left playing it last time I checked. Why there were no plans for more advanced ongoing missions, or additional content I don't know but it's basically killed the game.

Which sucks because when you're playing it, it IS utterly fantastic. Great fun and it's basically a communications game with a Star Trek skin. It just deserved far more than the half-hearted effort Ubisoft gave it.

Eurogamer (Who've went from totally ignoring VR to covering a lot of PSVR stuff recently), did a wee feature on some upcoming titles.

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018 ... e-the-vita

Blood and Truth is easily the next "big" title I'm looking forward to, and Firewall and Smash Hit Plunder sound interesting too.

Not sure I'd be up for a VR MOBA game that makes no concessions to those new to the genre, but Dark Eclipse could be worth watching if that's your kind of thing.

Pinball FX2 VR is worth a punt for £4.99 (normally £11.99)
3 tables, (so £1.66 per table, ridiculous price  ) if you have any interest in pinball this is a great way to experience it. I always found I used to lose the ball on normal TV/Monitor (it blends with the sometimes over the top backgrounds, whereas here there is such a solidity to the table and ball that it's much more like the real thing than a videogame copy.

(We had a real pinball table that my Dad restored when I was growing up so I have a particular affinity with it).

More tables are available, but are quite pricey. These will keep me going for now. Hopefully there'll be an offer on those sometime.

A little pricey, but if you can buy me a PVSR I'll happily be your friend and play Star Trek with you.

Yes?

Some guy I’ve just met can’t play PSVR for more than 10 minutes because he gets too motion sick. Imagine paying full whack back in the day and discovering that  Poor bastard.
Hoping he sells it to me for about £150 :shifty:

WipeOut in VR is absolutely strawberry floating stunning. I haven't played VR for a while so I only played for 20 mins or so and I'm feeling slightly queasy. I did have all the comfort options switched off though. I think it was zone that did it for me. Holy strawberry float though, seriously, If you've got PSVR but don't have this then you're doing it all wrong.

Nah, it was fine, I just need to get my VR legs again. To be fair though I was only playing some of the early races so it wasn't super fast. The way they mask off the cockpit is really quite cool but I found it distracting. Plus, I want to look around while I'm on the grid. The only downside was the retina searing white background on the main menu.

You could change the background to the Fury flavour on the PS3 version. A lovely deep red.

Better off buying it from GAME with RE7 and 2 Months NowTV Entertainment for £259.99 or from Currys/PC World with Move controllers for £299.99 anyway.

Thanks H. The Currys one Looks like the older headset version though. I can't see any model number on their webpage. How can I tell or be sure from the pictures?

Difficult to say, if you look at the comments on the Hotukdeals listing, to begin with people seem sure its a V1 but if you look at the latest comment someone has received their order and confirms they got a V2 model...

Is there an obvious way to tell the difference?
Umm...what is the difference?
EDIT - HDR passthrough...no idea what that means.

The V2 headset supports HDR passthrough which the V1 headset does not. This means that to use HDR content on your PS4 you either had to get an HDMI switcher or constantly unplug the PSVR passthrough box and directly connect your TV/AV system. The PS4 HDMI sockets are known for being a bit fragile so constantly unplugging/re-plugging HDMI cables had a decent chance of causing damage to your PS4.

I believe that the updated model includes built-in earbuds, too.

Edit: Argos include "V2" in the product title of the kit. You can add the Move controller set for £50, as well.

I've never had motion sickness playing video games but I do get it IRL. I'd definitely want to "try out" VR before paying out for it.

Finally got round to trying out Wipeout.

Holy gooseberry fool is that a good VR game.

Super fast, crisp and looks amazing. Turned off all (I think) of the motion sickness assists and I will certainly be putting some of them back on. Its the first game that's made me feel even slightly weird. But it was so worth it. It's easily up there as a showcase for PSVR and I'd go as far as to class it as an essential purchase for it. Utterly amazing.

Jumped on this for Collection from local store from tomorrow. Paid online in full so it’s secured. Am away till tomorrow evening but will make a quick detour if possible on way home.

I see Currys online now out of stock. This stuff is flying off the shelves after this price drop!

Hope I don’t feel queasy!will hold off ordering full games like Doom VFR and Skyrim till I’ve tried it out. Secured a few demos previously off the store and already own GT Sport and Wipeout so they should be interesting!

Thanks chaps
