Will watch them later on tonight I think.

It's a shame that the Move Controllers don't have any analog sticks on them, as it would be good to have the best of both worlds. As is I'll give both a go, but I'm gravitating towards using the pad for the smooth movement option.

Moss - charming as hell, looks lovely, has some interesting puzzle dynamics, not sure it needs to be in vr.

Picked up my system today.

Man there are a lot of cables!

Set it up - very impressed so far - just easing myself in with the Joshua Bell violin and piano VR video.
Then tried VR Playroom. Made me jump a few times having your field of view completely filled with an enemy! Skyrim will need new trousers on hand I think.

No motion sickness so far, but I am working up to the more 'VR'ey experiences. :D

Link?

It's this one,

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00W6XRCKA

Got it after reading this article,
https://www.outofcontrol.online/perfectish-setup-ps4-pro-ps4-psvr-hdr/

It can be a bit picky about HDMI cables, but I got some of these at the same time,
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NEMIY2M
And had no problems.

is it working as intended still?

Good stuff man.

Check out the Demo discs (Both are on the Store to download) and try every free bit of content you can.

I’d suggest trying more stationary experiences before diving into something with free motion like Skyrim. Build up your VR legs first. There’s loads of fantastic experiences and games to find.

So, all is well so far when playing games.

The only thing I have noticed is that during loading (the white ring of dots) I occasionally get a flashing line of colour, or white, kind of like interference.

This never happens during a game, only during loading.

Anyone else noticed this? Do I have a duff unit?

No I get that, not all the time and again only during loading screens.

Loading screens tend to be where I notice weird glitches the most.
Skyrim's loading screens always appear at odd angles when I'm starting the game or transitioning to a new area.
But it's normal and nothing to worry about.

Has anyone else downloaded Rec Room yet? Need to get a gathering arranged.

Favourite experience so far is the diving cage one - but I haven't done the shark cage yet. I've done the 2 others and they're amazing experiences. Are there more things of that quality where you can just 'be' somewhere?

Bucket list:
Sit on the moon
Fly over Niagara falls
Be on a Tropical Island*
Stand in the middle of a Lava Flow
Be around the Pyramids
Machu Picchu

Not that I have a bad life or anything that I need to escape from, but it's very calming!

* I found a demo of something like this but it seemed quite low-res.

I think it's cross platform compatible so I could join you from my pc at some point.

Youtube 360 vids work on PSVR, they're not great resolution but there are some good ones on there.

Apollo VR is fantastic and well worth a buy. I have it and just the section hearing Kennedy's speech is just pure inspiration.

Thanks guys, I will check into this. Exciting stuff!

Next question - did you get a storage case for your headset? I can see it might get knocked about just left lying around. If so, any recommendations.

Also, I now have many things to keep charged! - recommendations for a charging dock? I have one dual-shock 4 and 2 move controllers.

I just use the box it comes in as I'm cheap and it does the job.
As for charging I use a duracell charger I got for about £10 from amazon for the move (it has docks for 2 moves and 2 nunchucks) controllers.

Are nunchucks used with ps4?

I'm probably running before I can walk but Driveclub VR is definitely outside my VR comfort Zone. One lap and my brain/stomach is not happy at all :(

Nunchucks aren’t used for anything I’ve seen.

You can do DualShock in one hand and move in the other for Skyrim apparently.

Think I’ve been lucky because nothing has made me feel queasy/Ill at all. First person games like farpoint and Skyrim feel weird when standing up I’ve found but that’s it for me.

Played some of the demos on the new Demo Disc today.

Moss is beautiful. Really lovely with wonderful animation and oozes charm. Really looking forward to it’s full release. Wonderful.

Star Child. Has a very Metroid feel to it, but it’s far too short to get an idea of how the game is really going to play. It ends just as it starts to get interesting. One to keep an eye on though.

Dino Frontier is a nice Settlers style god game. Looks good and the character models are really nice, especially when you get in quite close with them. It’s been out for a while so I’d need to see the reviews, but it’s a bit different.

Raw Data. Wave based shooter which seems like good fun.

Still got more stuff to try on it but it’s a great wee selection. Definitely going to be picking up Moss though.
