Cool story Bro.

Been a while since I had an online match in Gears 4 and with your recent posts I thought I'd throw it on and have a nice game of KOTH. Instantly forgot I have the sensitivity so damn high to wall bounce from time to time which totally threw me off and hardly any of my Gnasher shots were hitting their target which was pissing me off. Still a Gold 2 in KOTH :datass:

The games made my head feel weird though :slol:

Any reason the game all of a sudden puts you in a match with people outside of Europe so your ping is sky high and you can't do gooseberry fool? 2 games in a row have done this.

PC gaming... maybe numbers are low on EU PC version? Takes about 2mins for first game for me then less in between games.

i saw a message on the XB1 loadup screen that they have done away with regional servers for matchmaking or something like that anyway. Something to do with it being better the new way. didn't really read it that closely as I don't have Live to play online anyway.

Resumed my campaign over the weekend, some 10 months after I stopped playing this. Managed to finally get through the annoying 'Great Escape' chapter at the end of Act 2. Now on Act 3, ch2. About half way through the game I think.

Definitely isn't better. What exactly is better about being made to play against people with nasty pings in the hundreds. Maybe the games MP is dying out so it's a way to make sure those still playing get games easy enough.

Btw Photek, when playing online it's always against Bone players with the odd other PC player. Had a match earlier and there was a total of 3 PC players in the game and a Bone player complained there was too many PC players :slol:

Yeah but on Xbox version we have ability to not play with PC users.

They have removed the regions but try to only find people on same ping...
Along with the region roll-ups, players will be able to see ping on the scoreboard. The matchmaking system will attempt to put players in a game where they have the best latency, in addition to skill-based matchmaking. The result should be "higher quality matches with the lowest possible latency."

It's due mid-september so could be out now, haven't fired it up in a couple of days. Coupled with that it'll try to match skill, so maybe only NA folk were at your skill level KJ...

Gears of War 4 Xbox One X Enhancements In-Depth

We’re excited to share how Gears of War 4 has been enhanced for the Xbox One X. Our new trailer showcases the wealth of graphical and gameplay enhancements that are only possible with the world’s most powerful console. We’re also excited to finally reveal the Preferred Rendering mode so you can play Gears of War 4 how you want!

True 4K Experience
Get ready to experience unmatched clarity, richness and details with true 4K visuals (3840×2160) in our Visuals Rendering Mode. Even if you’re playing on a 1080p screen, you’ll instantly notice the difference thanks to a 4K super sampled image that brings you a crisper, richer looking Gears game than you’ve ever seen before.

HDR
High Dynamic Range provides increased contrast between lights and darks. Battling your way through a lightning flurry in a windflare has never looked better. Gears of War 4 on Xbox One X supports a wide color gamut for true-to-color definition – just as the artists intended – and now at 4K resolution.

Up to 60FPS For Ultra Smooth Gameplay

We’re excited to announce Xbox One X owners will have two Preferred Rendering Options to choose from in Gears of War 4 – Visuals and Performance!

Performance

Put framerate first. For the first time ever, Gears of War will play at up to 60fps in 1080p in Campaign and Horde – all including higher resolution textures and some of the new enhanced graphical features available in Visuals mode.

Visuals

Push graphical fidelity to the max. This mode uses Ultra Quality Textures, a wealth of new and improved graphical features all at 4K resolution (3840×2160) thanks to the power of Xbox One X. You’ll experience the same frame rates you’ve come to expect from Gears of War 4 – 30fps for Campaign and Horde .

In both Rendering modes, Versus will run at a rock-solid 4K 60FPS (with adaptive resolution scaling).

Dolby Atmos Audio Support

When playing Gears of War 4 on Xbox One, we now offer Dolby Atmos, which gives you immersive, moving audio.

The Dolby Access app lets you set up your Dolby Atmos enabled home theater, TV, or sound bar for free, and lets you try or buy Dolby Atmos for Headphones, which gives you immersive sound on any headphones. Experience the visceral sounds of Gears of War in a way that will make you feel like you’re inside the action, only on Xbox One.

Our Most Immersive World Thanks To New Features

The world of Sera has never been more immersive thanks to brand new features and higher resolution textures – all possible with the additional horsepower and memory offered by the Xbox One X.

Enhanced Light Shafts
Also known as God Rays, Enhanced Light Shafts provide true-to-life beams of sunlight in the world. Prepare for jaw dropping lighting as the God Rays peek through gaps in the canopy of trees above you, or in sunset conditions peeking through buildings and statues.

Dynamic Shadows
Shadows in Gears of War 4 are usually pre-defined by an artist to accurately reflect the shadows objects in the world would cast based on the lighting. On Xbox One X, dynamic shadows now react true to the lighting conditions and movement of objects – for example, trees blowing in the wind will cast an accurate moving shadow on the ground – bringing the world of Sera to life like never before.

Increased Draw Distances
With the power of Xbox One X, we can maintain higher resolution textures at a further distance than ever before – creating a higher fidelity picture and crisper world around you, even on the horizon.

Superior Reflections
We’ve pushed our surface space reflections even further to look closer to as you would expect in real life. Reflective surfaces now have a higher definition reflection of your character – whether that’s in a mirror-like reflection of water, or the muddied color reflective nature of metal. It looks especially awesome on the DeeBee’s metallic armor!

Enhanced Character Textures
With our higher resolution textures now available on console thanks to Xbox One X, characters show more detail from head to toe. They’ve never looked better!

Experience this all at no extra cost for Gears of War 4 owners when you pick up your Xbox One X. And, if you’re picking up the Xbox One X but haven’t jumped in to Gears of War 4 yet, you can try it FREE now with our 10-hour trial – the perfect showcase piece for your new super-powered console.

We’re incredibly proud of what the team has been able to achieve on Xbox One X so far. We can’t wait to see you all experience this feast for your eyeballs!

I very much realise this probably going to fall on completely on deaf ears, but if there are any gears players willing to run the campaign through quickly (you'll be on Casual) in order to help Grcades GTASC Team. Myself and MHTL would be well chuffed with that.

I'll not hold my breath though

Oh it'll be hard no matter what difficulty you play on.

Mainly as you'll be protecting me as I cower in the corner on Inconceivable difficulty using nothing but a snub pistol.

Tbh If you want to do a legitimate Insane run though that would probably net me a fair amount.

THE FINAL ACHIEVEMENTS (Coming in next update)

In late July, we sent a challenge out to the community – what if you could design an achievement for the final Gears of War 4 achievement drop EVER?

Well, as always, the community responded in force. In just over a week, we had hundreds upon hundreds of ideas submitted on the achievements you would like to see make the final 500G. We had SO many good ideas – some possible, some not – and it led us to a provisional list we posted last August.

Once we had that provisional list, we began development to find out which ones we could – and couldn’t – make happen as well as adding a little spice of our own. Today, we’re excited to reveal our intended final list coming in our next Update targeted for early November.

Before We Continue

Before you scroll eagerly to the achievements, there’s a couple of things you should know:

While this list is intended to be final, some of these achievements are still in the final stages of testing. We expect the list to not change, but consider this is a caveat in case something comes up.
'When The Shower Is Too Hot’ and ‘Who Want’s Toast’ from the provisional list have been cut. While they were amazing ideas, both were technically not possible within the game.

THE FINAL ACHIEVEMENT DROP

Community Achievements

Turn It Up To 11 (100G) - Earn your first Wings at Re-Up 11.

Judge, Jury and Executioner (50G) - In any mode, perform one of each unique execution.

Deadly Resourceful (25G) - In Act 4 Chapter 4, kill a Swarmak using a different weapon to pop each Blister on Insane or above.

Hi, Mom. (15G) - Go home and say hi to Mom.

I'll Take That (30G) - In Public Versus, kill an opponent holding a power weapon and claim it for yourself 5 times.

Active Lifestyle (30G) - In Public Versus, kill 100 opponents with active reload rounds.

Sorry, That's Never Happened To Me Before (30G) - In Public Versus, win a round of Guardian, Execution, Escalation or Dodgeball in under 60 seconds.

Play The Mode, Not The Player (30G) - Get 200 ring captures and 100 ring breaks in King of the Hill or Escalation (Public Versus Only)

Kinda Missed 'Em In A Weird Way (30G) - Complete a 25 or 50 wave variant of Horde with Marcus, Cole, Dom, Baird and Anya.

2v2 Achievements

Don’t Hate The Players (50G) - Win 25 matches in 2v2 playlists (Public Only)

Got Your Back Like A Buttcrack (50G) - Save your wingman by killing an opponent who downed them before they die 10 times in 2v2 playlists.

Secret Achievements

The four secret 15G achievements are little love letters to our community. Two are directly inspired by ideas shared in the competition. The other two are, well, you’ll find out. We don’t plan on giving clues on these four, so let your fellow fans know if you’ve unlocked one! Good hunting.

Started this for the first time tonight, only played a couple of missions (just got up to the 3rd chapter of Act 1) but it’s more Gears which is what I was looking for! It looks really nice as well (Playing on a standard XBO’)w

I popped into the multiplayer bit and it chucked a load of packs at me containing cards. Haven’t got a clue what to use them for but I might give the MP a go once I have beaten the story.
