I know it's an old story now and nothing can be done... but what on earth has happened to Sega? Back in the 80s and 90s they were a big player in the market. Nowdays, my immediate thought is "they publish Football Manager and are trying to resurrect Sonic. Again." They're not bad as such, and I know they do have a few franchises, but they just seem to be shrinking.

A couple of megs at full throttle, then zero, then hours of 300Kb/s with long pauses. So I deleted the install and went to put it on another drive. Full speed all the way. And then I benchmarked the problem drive and it was at like 19IOPS for writing. NINETEEN.

So that drive's failing, and I had to order a replacement.

Went to bed seething at the unexpected cost. Lifted my Vita to take my mind off it, and it told me I shouldn't have removed the memory card while it was in use (didn't even touch it). Reboot it and it won't start up. Remove the memory card and it works fine. Put it back in and it's bricked again. Run the recovery menu, go to format the card, and it tells me there is no card in. So that's a super-expensive 64GB Vita card strawberry floating fried too.

What a week.

Damn, thats some bad luck you've had this week. Fingers crossed thats the last of it!

I fully expect to go home and find my regular PSN account banned now and all the games on it lost forever.

There's an argument to be made for Seh-Gaa.

But to me it'll always and forever be Say-Gaa.

They're much more of a PC publisher these days.

Creative Assembly, Sports Interactive and I believe Relic are owned by them.

Man, I am convinced that "See-ga" is the correct way of saying it; when the Master System launched in the UK, everyone was saying See-ga. But then, thanks to Sonic on the Mega Drive, most folk switched to "Say-ga". Nowdays it's nearly all "Say-ga".

Unite, SEE-GA crew!

It should obviously be pronounced as it's written: セガ. What you're saying is シガ. You're welcome.

Actually, it's not as bad as this, but it's pretty bad.

I turned on my PC just now and the hard drive is working fine. But the replacement has already shipped. I just dropped over £300 on hard drives I didn't need.

Well, I can, but they're better than what I have in there at the minute, so I'm unlikely to.

The new South Park game has been using the "Nosulus Rift" device, to market the game.

They actually made them.

Due to "not enough connections to my TV" issues, I had retired my Xbox 360 to the cupboard.

Next day I realised the error of my ways, re-jigged my set-up and connected the console up again. I'd forgotten just how many great games there are on the 360; and I still have Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Dragon Age and more to play through. As the machine is no longer being made, I guess the 360 could be classed as "retro" now?

I'm glad it's back. The king is dead... long live the king!

No. It's last-gen, it can be retro after that.

Retro for me is up to N64, cause it's easier to emulate for Retro Mondays.

It's pretty easy to emulate GameCube, Wii and even PS2 games.

I wouldn't know I don't actually emulate, I buy all the games for my Retro streams :shifty:

Does that mean you've never played Arkham Asylum?
