I'm gonna play a game on my DS for the first time in a while tonight in bed.

What should I play? I'm thinking either Phantom Hourglass or PW3

I should also have GH: On Tour soon thanks to a Mr. final-fx

I have payday (two weeks from old temp job) along DLA today, but I have no idea what to buy. :(

I think I should hold off actually, although I may go with The World Ends With You on DS. I haven't touched my DS in while...

I was secretly hoping I'd receive my Play-Asia order today, but alas it still hasn't arrived. :(

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

After installing new drivers for my graphics card in order to run Spore, I've found that said drivers can seriously ruin chances of other games working! :fp:

Because you said you wouldn't buy a machine that would brake when you turned it on.

I only buy machines that accelerate when I turn them on. It makes playing them tricky, but that's my problem to deal with.

I had a go of the Beijing 2008 demo earlier on and it's not bad, actually.

I found it hard to get a good start for the 100m sprint but I managed to catch up enough to get 2nd place on my best run. The triple jump was easier than expected as I managed to break the Olympic Record at one point. As for the hammer throw, it took me a while to get the hang of it but after a few goes I managed to get first place.

I don't know if I'd buy the game, though, but it would definitely be worth a rental at least.

I've gone back to try to finish off the Forza 2 career for the umpteenth time. I'm getting there, only nine regular competitions and four endurance races to go. I also on a whim entered a couple of tournaments that I qualified for but have no intention of playing because they start at 4am.

I don't even like the game that much but I still keep coming back when I have much better games I could be playing.

I had a day and an afternoon free during first semester and I was only in for three mornings during my second semester. That meant I had quite a bit of free time, although I should have spent much longer on my course work.

Ugh, I've seen Wii Fit is back on stock on GAME online store and I want it. :(
Or even Rock Band on 360.

But I think I'll hold off..I might buy Mother 3 for GBA, though.

Right.

The Halo 2 hate in here is unbearable. All I hear is negativity, but nobody is saying why Halo2 is the worst of the lot, or in what ways the others are better.

I will dismiss the original altogether (great game that it was/is) and ask - HOW is Halo3 better than 2?

Don't get me wrong - I thoroughly enjoyed Halo3. However, shooting the Brutes just wasn't as much fun as battling the Elites, who had personal regenerative shielding the same as Master-Chief's, as opposed to the frankly (comparatively!) rubbish deployable shielding of the brutes.

Further, the co-operative mode continued the game when a player dies, respawning them once the danger is passed - which allowed the surviving player to simply backtrack to safety for an instant respawn (along with more ammo).

...and whoever highlighted the fight against the 'giant-bug-walker-thing' must have forgotten that it was done first in Halo2.

Halo 3 was too short, and FAR too easy! Of course it looked better... but have you tried Halo2 on 360 or a decent PC? If that's what you lot want then fine... but don't diss the gaming nirvana that is Halo2. :x
