I have found an amazing twitter bot which combines bits from fairly rubbish erotic fiction with video game references:

I've been mucking about a bit with emulation on the Shield TV.
My biggest issue so far is getting emulators to pick up on the contents of my USB stick. I'm guessing the simplest solution would be format the stick as internal storage and then copy ROMs onto that either over the network or from a second USB stick.

The fact you can run Dolphin on this thing is a real testament to the quality of that emulator. I've just gotten as far as starting the tutorial area in Pikmin but it seems like it's good enough to be playable.

 This bot is pretty funny, but I'm noticing a lot of repetition. It needs more material to draw from.

Been playing some Champ Man recently (00/01 game). Going back to an old, old save is like starting a new game and inheriting someone else's squad. You look at players and think "what was the last guy thinking?"

Amazing. Strangely enough, this was the last game I bought on PC.

Anyone know the best place to get mods for GTA: Vice City? I got it in the recent Rockstar Humble Bundle and I recall there being a mod that upgraded all the graphics, but I don't know where to look...

Moddb.com would probably be a good place to start.

I found myself in a shopping centre on Saturday so took a peek into my friendly neighbourhood GameStop, something I only do once every 6 months or so these days. No wonder specialist game retailers are dying a death, the prices are absolutely ludicrous, above RRP in most cases I bothered to look at.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2
GameStop: €74.99
Argos: €59.99
Smyths: €49.99
Amazon: ~€50

Dragon Quest Builders (Switch)
GameStop: €69.99
Argos: €43.99
Smyths: €44.99
Amazon: ~€36

Thats at least €25 more than what you can get it for down the road, I understand they need to make a profit and every business is different, but charging a 50% markup on what other retailers are charging is utterly unsustainable. They seem to do it just so they can charge the RRP for the preowned game and make people feel like theyre getting a deal if they dont bother to shop around. They really do seem to be preying on gullible consumers who dont know any better, I stopped asking family for games as presents because I saw them charging so much, its a ridiculous situation.

Yep. I remember when Fallout 4 came out checking the indie games store to compare prices as, if I'm going to buy something I'd rather it come from a smaller outlet. Everything was a good 25% more.

Unsurprisingly they went out of business about 6 months ago.

My local indie is pretty cheap, I got Battlefront 2 £5 cheaper than anywhere else on release

GameStop isnt an indie though, its the same GameStop thats all over the states, they should be able to compete a little better on price.

I've given up buying games from actual retailers here in HK because physical copies were ludicrous compared to just buying direct from the various eShops.

Point of comparison, I wanted to buy Doom on the PS4;

PSN - $210
Shop -$440

Activision has started doing weekly live streams over on Twitch, and during this week's stream they made mention that a non-CoD announcement will be made during the March 28th stream next week.

Naturally, everybody seems to think it'll be this alleged Spyro Remastered Trilogy.

Was looking after my two elder nephews today and they were gaming. They love Fortnite and Overwatch and the younger one (he's ten) got down to the final two players in a Fortnite Battle Royale match :toot: .

I like to think that they've learnt their lit gaming skillz from me  .

I've not really checked out VR and I don't know a lot about it. But I have stumbled across this VR "re-creation" of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks, which is one of my favourite paintings, and it's incredible!
