If you've got multiple controllers + friends willing to play old games it's probably the best local multi on the console

For the price it does look tempting...I was waiting for the RGB SCART from RetroGamingCables but maybe I'll just go for this instead.

Well it's a VGA signal really isn't it and that does look very good, same as pic. Sadly the one I was borrowing with VGA mod sold for £85.

F355 challenge

The absolute state of the music though :dread: "A great guitar solo, very masculine, very agressive" :fp:

I'm so much better at this than I used to be, I just tried the championship mode and beat it for the first time ever, on my first go! It was still really hard (there are no restarts - screw up and it's game over) but I managed it.

Only took 19 years.

The dreamcast is still a great console, unlike a lot of retro stuff which rides on a lot of nostalgia, these are mostly still great games, and they look good enough for the graphics not to be off putting.

I bloody love the F355 Challenge soundtrack. I wouldn’t listen to that sort of music in any other context, but if I ever had a Ferrari (I can dream), I’d be playing this and the Outrun soundtracks on heavy rotation!

i only have their megadrive composite cable so far, and even that is really good. Getting all the rgb cables though would set me back about 70 quid :dread:

The NES doesn't do RGB though and ironically the newer models (top loading) have a worse composite quality signal. Just use any nice chunky coaxial cable on the original NES and the output is pretty good on CRT. So I only need two for SNES/MD and eventually GameCube (game boy player, I need to sort out that better home brew launcher disk as well).

Front mission 3 and Darius IV? There are a few JP only PS1 shooters that go upwards of £30 I'll never get.

I'll see if I can get it and add it later on tonight.

Might want to keep this to the Emulation thread though. Don't want to derail the general Retro chat with it.

Hey guys I'm new to the forums but I thought this would be a good place to start! I really enjoy collecting for retro consoles. I collect for N64 and Gamecube but my main passion is handhelds, I have an ever growing collection of them. A big fan of the GBA and particularly interested in collecting official, unofficial and modded devices to play its games.

Welcome, Doom Spoon, to GRcade! It was cool chatting with you at the Rocket League Tuesday session. There are a number of retro gaming fans here so hopefully you'll get plenty of interest in your collection and additions :-).

Welcome The Doom Spoon. Just started retro collecting again myself on a small scale. I sold 80% of my collection several years ago to pay off a credit card bill. I don't fully regret selling said collection, but I have missed a few. I must admit I'm having fun again hunting down some classics across various systems.
