Been playing loads of DKC2 through retroarch, damn this game rules. I love platformers but for whatever reason poo pood this series on the SNES until recently. The controls in this are tight!

I should really be going back to Tropical Freeze but this has caught my attention now. :shifty:

I didn't find DKC (that I played on GBC) as maddeningly hard as Donkey Kong Country Returns (which I eventually sold) - maybe I am just getting older or Retro Studios was more punishing?

Edit: Actually, that's not true at all, it was so hard I smashed my Gameboy Colour's screen into the corner of a chair until the LCD exploded :slol:

Anger issues, man, I was about 10. I think the worst I've done besides that is crack an N64 controller and apart from that, most everything I've owned still works and certainly wasn't destroyed. Actually almost everything is in near immaculate condition for its age.

I'm much more placated these days! (And that wasn't even a regular issue - my brothers were far worse at randomly smashing stuff up.)

Yeah I don't get that at all. That poor gameboy.

I find the retro and rare ones both about equal difficulty wise.

If you have the spare cash/time you should get tropical freeze, I reckon you'd love it.

Neither do I. But to be fair to myself, I still feel bad about it almost two decades later, so I haven't destroyed anything aince, and "people" aren't really the psychologically vulnerable children they start out as. We all have to learn how to deal with anger and frustration at some point. Unfortunately I had no way of learning those skills as my parenting was.. mixed to absent.

I had quite lot to be reasonably angry about, but I won't get into that. These things take a long time to heal.

On the other hand, I don't understand things like sealed games and unused games in cupboards.

It's also a bit different, a £300 switch these days versus a £60 gameboy that still saw a whole lot of use. I wish I kept it actually as I could easily repair the screen myself. Had the box as well, all of that went out along with my N64 "fun edition" box and insert when my brother threw away "all that cardboard".

The project was funded with c£60K; three times the £20K target :D . With the extra funding backers will receive the annual with contributions from additional writers and an extra eight pages, a colour Oli Frey 2019 calendar and a Zzap! enamel badge :toot: .

Mine is the Everdrive
PCB Revision: v2.4
On Firmware: v13

I dont think it matters that much with the Megadrive Everdrives they all seem to run darn well its only more of an issue with certain systems for example the SNES as the everdrive market is a lot more complex with that console with various ones having various chips on etc.

My megadrive everdrive runs every megadrive game apart from virtua racing plus hacks and homebrew and master system games.

Great pick-ups at those prices! You've probably mentioned this in the past, kerr, but I can't recall... do you have a Japanese N64 or are you using an adapter for these games?

Don't forget to hold down on dpad as you go over the jump in White Land 2, that's not far off being the Sonic 3 barrel in that game D:
