The copy of Mytran Wars I had brought arrived and I also managed to get the Japanese soundtrack to Metal Gear Solid (the first one) in a charity shop for 50pence

I have a boxed Speccy 128+2 I brought it a few years ago think it cost me about £10, I grabbed it because it was the exact same package id had as a kid

I will try to sort a pic at some point

So I order a copy of Silent Hill 3 for PS2 which arrived today. Someone obviously made a cock up because underneath the disc was a copy of Silent Hill 2. Win-get. :D

Sorry I'll never get a story that beats my mate's Xbox from eBay that came with some British porno in the disk tray.

A free copy of silent hill 2, I'm sure it will be fine and not the the videogame equivalent of the vhs tape from The Ring

Lazy Fair wrote:Bit of a convoluted question, but I was listening to Radio Free Nintendo Podcast this week and they were talking about Thunder Force. They mentioned that you can unlock an “expert” leaderboard, which they considered was the “correct” way to play the game. From what I gathered it was maybe meaning that you could unlock that mode where you had to play using a set number of continues.

They mentioned that you unlock a similar thing in the ACA Neo Geo games.

Has anyone got any idea if this applies in Metal Slug 3? I love the game, but find it weird that you can use infinite continues. I’d like if there was a similar mode in Metal Slug 3. Always find the caravan modes too hard as you only get one continue and don’t like having to choose to limit myself in terms of the number of continues I use.

The podcast suggested you needed to do one run through to unlock this mode.

Anyone got any idea if that’s an option?

Sorry to double post, posted this in the switch thread but it got buried. Maybe more relevant to ask in here anyway.

I really enjoyed the Switch re-release so good pickup! It's interesting what the differences are between the versions, the Switch mostly just has more content, but the wii has a couple of minigames that were dropped from the Switch (like swordfighting) and has some free-roam achievements/challenges not on Switch I believe.

I kind of grabbed it for 2 reasons one being I had seen it sell for more and thought it could go in the collection and the other being it would basically serve as a demo for the switch one :)

To be fair it's hard to go too wrong for £3 as well.

What's Mytran Wars like?

So far I kind of like it Its something I would give about a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 though so its not like an unmissable classic or anything.

Nothing like that GC logo. Always makes me smile when I fire up the GC.

That looks real neat, GG!

Maybe other gaming logos could look cool in this format, too? Maybe... the PS symbol... or SEGA?

You know, I appreciate it more now that I have a half foot version. They could have made it more a feature of the console, it was always very small.

It's shiny shiny. Just as good as a shop fascia on a lightbox or whatever so I might make something like that.

First time I've made something that thin, which has good applications i.e. 1mm acrylic is much more affordable than typically thinner stock and looks better than vinyl because it's even glossier so.. there's a high end product to offer my clients. Just need to think of a good adhesive for it. It would also probably last, well, 20 years or so against 7-10, which is already outstanding by industry standards.

The finish is superior to laser because it doesn't melt at the edges.
