Really wish there was an inexpensive way of plugging mine in to my monitor.

Those carts though :dread:

:slol:

They were bought from eBay in that condition, hence them being sold. Just don't understand how you can rip a sticker like the MK one.

EDIT: Oooh, I've had a bid. Hoping for double the starting price - it'll pay for replacement Mario Kart and Mario Golf, a SNES cable so I can sell my spare and a profit of about £50 to use for my own nefarious purposes.

That's great, Preezy! Of course, the important question is... Mark I or Mark II?

I guess you're just kicking off your MD collection, then - do you have any carts at the moment?

This one for example.

Scuffed box, games all faded and scratched up and inlays missing. :dread:

Hey Cora!

Mark 2. I had the Asian Mk2 when I was a kid living in the Middle East but couldn't find a decent one at a price I was willing to pay, so am settling for a European Mk2 with the red power/reset buttons. I don't have any cartridges for it yet but it comes with a boxed copy of Sonic 2 that looks to be in great condition.

Ah, yeah, I can understand your choice, dude - nostalgia often plays a big part in the appeal of retro gaming and I can see why you'd want the model that you used as a young Preezy. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a future Weekender :toot: .

It's funny, but on thinking about it, nostalgia is the key reason I'm into retro games and when I look at my collection, it's only games I owned when the systems were first released!

Anyone ever looked at regions outwith the United Kingdom for eBay stuff? Just popped onto eBay.com for a gander at their PAL selection and there are some pretty good deals on B-class N64 stuff(Rainbow Six for under a fiver, Tetrisphere for a fiver, etc).

Heading back over to Tokyo next weekend, so it's Akihabara retro hunting again. Got the missus in tow and it's going to be more of a showing her the sights for a weekend than a full on hunt session, but still, gonna get some sweet Super Potato action in.

Up to Episode 6 of VJ. Yeah this game is kind of oddball but terrific fun. It also helped when I realised I could put fires out by entering mach speed. :fp:

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I've just started playing Starfox Adventures. First impressions are good. It still looks really nice, and holds up very well in terms of framerate and overall polish (as a lot of Gamecube games do). I like the mix of puzzles, exploration and combat so far, even if the latter is a bit basic and button-mashy. Looking forward to getting stuck into it. Somehow though they've made Slippy even more annoying than in Lylat Wars. :dread:

Heading to Amsterdam tomorrow - there's a fantastic looking retro game shop next to Centraal Station I want to check out. I'll report back and try to get some pictures.

That sounds really cool, Cora. Enjoy the trip and, yeah, it'd be terrific if you were able to share a few pics :toot: .

Picked up my Megadrive from Argos today on my lunch break so will be having a look at it this evening, just in time for the Weekender :toot:

It's called "Game Over?" So I'm hoping to be able to grab a couple of cheap GB games actually, looks like they have hundreds. Bart vs the Juggernauts would be an amazing addition to my collection.

It'll be good to see your new Mega Drive making it's debut in GRcade, Preezy. Try and include a couple of additional things in the shot... we got Death's foot last week :toot: .

It looks good, Cora. If you want to take a sneak preview (albeit from seven years ago)...
